As an educator for over 20 years, I have been featured in periodicals like the New York Times, Washington Post and Chicago Tribune. I build college lists for students, help with their essay writing and revision and offer personalized college advice. I am a dynamic leader, educational strategist, emerging author, and speaker. I have counseled many students and families through the often-frustrating private school and college “admissions maze" and my students have been accepted to such colleges and universities such as Dartmouth, Duke, Emory, Harvard, Stanford, Syracuse, University of Georgia, University of Miami, University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania, University of Virginia, University of Texas – Austin, Vanderbilt and Yale as well as many others. Before I set out on this purpose-filled assignment, I worked as an Admissions Officer at Georgetown University and a guidance counselor at two high schools. Having worked on “both sides of the desk” in admissions gives me a perspective that few other counselors have. I aim to assist students and families who do not readily know about this process or have extensive knowledge of the world of college admission. I graduated from Wesleyan University with a Bachelors’s degree in English and a Masters of Arts degree from the Breadloaf School of English at Middlebury College. In 2005, I was selected by the National Association of Independent Schools as an E.E. Ford Fellow for Aspiring Heads of School. Additionally, I have served on the Board of Trustees at La Cima Elementary Charter School in my native borough of Brooklyn, New York. I am also a member of the Independent Educational Consulting Association (IECA) and the National Association of College Admissions Counseling (NACAC). Above all, I am a husband, father of four and a distinguished gentleman of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated.
