Siegfried was brought up by his stepmother who was into a local food business. From the early stage of his life, he combined the weaving of baskets and local crafts with his stepmom's food business. He later joined his elder brother in the capital city to continue his secondary school education. He followed his brother on many of his assignments; a carpenter by profession. It was on one of those trips on weekends that he chanced upon a chartered accountant his brother was working for and the accountant later became his mentor and provided a lot of guidance for him. Siegfried Silverman is a fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK), a member of CPA Australia and holds Executive MBA and MSc (Microfinance). Silverman has a practical background in microfinance, banking, NGOs Management, together with consultancies in corporate valuations, small business training, and management. He manages currently Siegfried Silverman Ltd, a firm of management consultants with the focus on training, accounting services, and financial strategy development.
