"I shall be in transports of delight once parents, but especially children--those with bright eyes, happy hearts & toothless grins--discover Stevie Tenderheart books." ~ Steve William Laible American Children's Author Steve is an award winning children's author with a 5-year comic strip background. He loves writing children's books. It's his passion. He especially loves auditioning every word before they go on the page. He really enjoys a little leg-pulling when the story presents an opportunity. (Kids love it.) Bedtime is such a tender time. Stevie storybooks quiet the noises of the day, helping kids feel silly, loved (safe, cozy & dozy) at bedtime. 😴 Stevie books also help parents put their children to bed on time, every time. Just be mindful when you say, "It's Stevie time." They will likely hear, "It's TV time." And that's on you. 😉 Background Steve is a Retired Mustang (Captain/USAF); an Adult Literacy Tutor, youth coach, and community volunteer. He earned his MBA in his off-duty time (nights and weekends). He served his nation with distinction and honor (enlisted & officer) for 22-years. He worked at the highest levels of the military, Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) the Pentagon for 3 years; 5-years with the Commander-in-Chief, Pacific (CINCPAC) in Hawaii. He's a 7-time audition finalist for Survivor and Big Brother; nominated for a White House Fellowship, Bush/Clinton; Chief of Administration, USAF Honor Guard (Wash DC) during Reagan Administration; was lauded as the "USAF Outstanding Administrator of the Year--Worldwide." A distinguished Leadership Academy Graduate. He was awarded the Bronze Star device for Desert Storm, but declined the award. He ran for Congress in 2022 under his platform banner: "America the Beautiful." He even wrote a book on his vision, Résumé to Serve. His complete bio can be found on or in his books.
