About the Author Steven developed a passion for maritime history at an early age, growing up near the Essex coast where the legacy of Britain's naval tradition was ever-present. Like his main character, he was going out and working on boats, from a very early age. With a background in engineering and a lifelong fascination with wooden boats, Steven brings authentic technical detail and historical accuracy to "The Wartime Adventures of James Hartley." "The small boat yards along Britain's coast played a crucial role in the war effort, yet their contributions are often overlooked in historical accounts. Research Process To capture the authentic details of pre-war boat building and naval technology, [Your Name] spent countless hours researching in maritime archives, interviewing veterans, and studying the design plans of vessels from the period.
