Dr. Cohn holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, CA and an MA in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in Berkeley, CA. His education included training related to individuals, children, couples, families, and groups. Clinically he specialized in becoming a Relationship Specialist. Additionally, he holds an MBA degree with an emphasis in finance from the WP Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Dr. Cohn’s post-doctoral education and training has been devoted exclusively to relationships. He has trained with some of the discipline’s leading authorities, including both Drs. John and Julie Gottman and Dr. David Schnarch. He also completed training in Emotionally Focused Therapy with Dr. Sue Johnson and Integrative Sex and Couples Certification Training. Dr. Cohn has lectured at Stanford University and has been called upon as a relationship consultant, appearing on CNBC, KATU 2 TV, KOIN 6 TV, and the Oregonian newspaper.
