Susan B. Lovejoy has been writing since childhood, stories and poems of life in her world and/or her imagination. While some of her earlier work appeared in various publications, she didn't publish her first book until the tender age of 68. One promise she made when opening her Author account was that she would always publish stories fit for her grandchildren to read. Love, Gramma was her first book which was written in 2020 during the height of the Covid pandemic, and published in 2021. It was a book of advice for her young adult grandchildren for their future, just in case. She published her second book, Her Alien Children, in 2022. Her first children's story, A Butterfly in My House, was published in 2022. Since then, she has published: A Case of the Wiggly Wormies, Our Family Spirits, and Just a Baby Sparrow, along with several Kindle Vella stories. Her past writing credits include: poetry published in Young America Sings National Anthology (1971), Country Woman Magazine, Scribe & Quill, Family Friends Poems, and Fear, Worry, Anxiety anthology; a short story that won Honorable Mention in the Inscriptions Dorothy Parker Writer’s Block Contest; and essays in Realtor Magazine, and The Rose & Thorn. A graduate of the Institute of Children’s Literature, Susan enjoys writing for young people, as well as adults.
