Tahneer Oksman is Associate Professor in the Department of Writing, Literature, and Language; and the Department of Communication and Media Arts at Marymount Manhattan College, where she teaches courses in writing, literature, and journalism. In addition to her scholarship, her cultural criticism has appeared in publications such as the Los Angeles Review of Books, The Believer, The Guardian, Public Books, The Comics Journal, The Forward, Lilith, Cleaver, and Women’s Review of Books.
