Tatiana was born and grew up in the former Soviet Union in the family of a military officer. The nomadic life experience that came with her father’s profession led her to appreciate diversity in nature and in culture. As a child she equally admired the snow covered magical lands of Siberia, the warmth and generosity of Ukraine, the busy grandeur of the country’s capital and the multi-cultural mountainous regions of North Caucasus. She immigrated to the United States in 1998 and went to the wonderfully liberal State University of New York at New Paltz from which she graduated in 2005. At present she enjoys creating mixed media art work and writing fiction.
