Ted Stewart is a United States District Court Judge for the District to Utah, appointed by President Bill Clinton in 1999. Prior to that appointment, he was the Chief of Staff to a Governor of Utah and a Congressman from Utah. He also served as the head of three Departments in Utah State Government. Mr. Stewart has taught classes at Utah State University since 1991 on the Constitution of the United States, Law and Policy, Law and Politics, Democracy and Public Policy, the Supreme Court, and Environmental Law. Mr. Stewart and his brother, Congressman Chris Stewart, are joint authors of two books. The first, “Seven Miracles That Saved America” was the recipient of the Freedom Award from the Freedom Foundation at Valley Forge. The second, “The Miracle of Freedom: Seven Tipping Points That Saved the World” was on the New York Times Best Sellers list for six weeks. He is also the sole author of the books “The Mark of a Giant: Seven People Who Changed the World” and “Supreme Power: Seven Pivotal Supreme Court Decisions That Had a Major Impact on America.” Mr. Stewart was raised on a dairy farm in Idaho and currently resides in Utah.
