I was born in Massachusetts, grew up in California, went to school in Texas and raised my children in Indiana and West Virginia. After college and graduate school I found time to be a Barbie fashion designer, legume manufacturer and intake manager, Lego architect and hot lunch lady. For a while I worked as a science teacher, torturing adolescents with the knowledge of how plants have sex. Now I write full time and love it!
