Tonya Adolfson has been designing and creating costumes since 1985. Originally working for the Utah Shakespearean Festival, she delved into historic costuming in 1988 and ended up on a trek through history via the textiles industry. For the last 8 years, she was focused upon the absolute lack of indigenous women's clothing int he Hungarian region from 1550-1700. This struck her as odd because it's pretty cold in the Carpathian mountains. naked women would not survive very long and that would mean the end of the Hungarian people. She finally discovered the single signature aspect of this clothing and now, she frankly doesn't know what to do with herself. She's tried about seven or eight hobbies. She almost lost an eye trying to tie flies. (She didn't realize you can't do it to mosquitoes. Only flies.) Although she gave it up, she DOES have a lot of decorative and functional very tiny leashes in a drawer. So, now she is part owner of a small comic con and is writing stories and books when she isn't planning activities for 3000 strangers.
