He published his first Novel "Der Sattelwolf" ("The Saddle Wolf") by the age of 19 and soon became one of Germanys most popular writers of Western Novels in the great american tradition. U.H. Wilken has written over 600 Novels; more than 80 million copies of his books were already sold during his lifetime, making him one of the greatest bestseller authors in the history of the Western Novel. His books have been translated into many languages, and appeared in Israel, China, Brasil, Belgium, Netherlands only to name a few. Outstanding are his three famous series of historic Western Novels: DAN OAKLAND STORY, CHEYENNE and ZURDO. The first was created with documentary support by the University of Wisconsin, Connecticut. U.H. Wilken has lived and worked in El Paso/Texas, Spain, Marocco and Germany. His novels are praised by many fans, critics and writers alike as modern classics of the western-genre.
