Víctor Sánchez is a Mexican author dedicated to research on the indigenous cultures of Mexico. His lifelong passion has been to understand human beings and their true potential. Although his academic training comes from Social Anthropology and Psychology, his greatest influence emanates from his continuous experiences in remote areas of nature and his more than four decades of connection with indigenous communities from Mexico. His books have been translated into dozens of languages around the world. For more than thirty years he has lectured and led workshops in Europe, North America, and Latin America on how the intimate connection of human beings with nature awakens the higher functions of consciousness. Too rigorous and skeptical to consider himself part of the new age movement and too open and interested in the development of the soul to accept the limitations of purely academic research, Víctor Sánchez created a new approach to human development by connecting the usually separate territories of Anthropology and Psychology; formal science and spiritual experience and the sphere of reason with that of silent knowledge. He currently lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico in the United States and is working on a new series of books about the evolution of the oldest spiritual tradition in the history of mankind, based on the relationship with nature, which is not based on faith, but on experience.
