Working with the New York City Department of Investigation, Vinny Green has participated in global efforts to combat corruption for more than four decades. He was a “First Responder” during the attack on the World Trade Center. He has received awards in recognition of his corruption-fighting efforts from four Mayors of the City of New York and the FBI. While at DOI, Vinny attained the position of Deputy Commissioner, being the first entry-level investigator and person of color in the more than 150-year history of DOI to ascend through the ranks and reach the highest title obtainable by an investigator; an achievement that has yet to be duplicated. Vinny has trained corruption fighters in the Republics of Haiti, Liberia, and Tanzania. He has advised legislative members of the Republic of Georgia and lectured on corruption to Ambassadors and dignitaries from more than 75 countries. The “Vincent Green Award for Outstanding Strategic Initiatives” was established upon his departure from DOI. Vinny has been an Adjunct Professor at several colleges, where he primarily lectures on the topic of Ethics. He is a contributing author to the book Government Ethics and Law Enforcement. He is the author of Corruption in the Twenty-First Century, “Who Rigged the Bids?” and a publication targeting youth entitled “Respond, Don’t React,” focusing on positive interaction with Law Enforcement and the public. He is currently working on several new publications to add to the corruption-fighting arsenal of those committed to the cause. Outside of his direct corruption-fighting efforts, Vinny has published a book of Short Stories and Poetry entitled, A View from My Bay. Vinny Green is the CEO of G-Square Publishing and is available to speak on combating corruption literally anywhere in the world.
