Wanjiru Mwangi, author of Quit Drinking in 30 Days and Restore Your Health, received her MSc in Conflict Management from Kennesaw State University, outside Atlanta, Georgia. Wanjiru began writing her book on quitting alcohol after struggling to overcome her own alcohol abuse during the extended COVID-19 lockdown and isolation. Wanjiru obsessed over how to overcome this challenge from home and read piles of peer-reviewed studies and stories about the experiences of others. Using the tools she identified in these studies, Wanjiru was able to overcome her toxic relationship with alcohol and is excited to share her steps and tips to help others. Wanjiru is a Professional Member of Alliance for Addiction Solutions. When not writing, she enjoys taking long walks, traveling, exploring mother nature, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her family.
