Writing has always been one of my favorite hobbies. It's been a lifelong dream to become a published author. I started seriously writing almost ten years ago. I began writing a romance novel based during the Great Depression with the help of my grandmother. I have edited and rewritten my manuscript though the years, but I haven't quite found a way to bring it together. And now, with my grandmother gone, I am finding it hard to finish the book. Someday, I hope to finish what I started with her, but until then, a little fun with a children's book can't hurt, right? Indigeaux is my very own mini Australian Shepherd. She is a big ball of energy- a true 40 pound lap dog that's ready for noting but mischief! Of course, our Westie, Summer, doesn't much care for playing, but she's always ready to join Indigeaux for a good barking session or begging for dog treats! You'll get to meet the rest of the family animals in the next book in the Indigeaux series! My illustrator, Sherry Martin, worked for months to make Indigeaux come to life. She's a very talented artist, and I think she really captured the mischievous and adorable qualities of Indigeaux. We are available for book signings and storytime, and Indigeaux would love to come along too so she can meet and greet her fans!
