About the Author fred berri Thank you for reading my novels. I hope you enjoy them as I look forward to seeing you in my next adventure. fred berri Fred Berri was born in the Bronx. He has lived many places and has had a diversified career, including owning his own business. Berri graduated Columbia State University with a business degree. Berri now lives in Florida where he retired after many years as a Financial Specialist and a top producer for one of the largest banking institutions in the U.S. During his career, he has been interviewed by newspaper reporters for his business, written many articles for trade publications as well as articles published for web based sites. Berri has done public speaking and has had the opportunity to be in a few T.V. commercials, including voice-overs. His published works are included in E-zine.com, ArticlesBase.com, GoArticles.com and Services magazine, a trade publication. Mr. Berri is the website creator and founder @ www.retirementusa.com I believe the mind can imagine and create what you let it. A simple example of that is the nursery rhyme, Humpty Dumpty. The character is portrayed as an anthropomorphic (ascribing human characteristics to things not human) egg. Most children are familiar with this nursery rhyme. Recalling what the rhyme indicates what happened, you may want to bring in the C.S.I. team... Cognitive thinking Self-educating your mind Insightful creativity I feel we’re taught from infancy to just accept what we read or what we’re told for granted. So, I felt the need to apply C.S.I. (Cognitive thinking, Self-educating your mind, & Insightful creativity) by using all resources available to determine the facts about Humpty Dumpty falling or being pushed. This way, anyone could reach their own opinion. The fact that Humpty Dumpty is an egg is not actually stated in the rhyme. In its first printed form, in 1810, it is a riddle, and exploits for misdirection, the fact that Humpty Dumpty was 18th-century reduplicative slang for a short, clumsy person. Whereas a clumsy person falling off a wall would not likely be irreparably damaged, an egg would be. The rhyme is no longer posed as a riddle, since the answer is now so well known. As you read the rhyme (perhaps the first time in a very long time) keep in mind “Humpty Dumpty was pushed” and see if you have a different conclusion. Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the king’s horses and all the king’s men Couldn’t put Humpty together again. Humpty Dumpty… fell or pushed?
