Story
During the darkness of forever night. Someone enters through the blight. Left behind are kindred men. In Hell's kitchen or Heaven's den. Walk with pride down a lonely street. Never mind whom you might meet. For at the end the grave will call. Not for one, but for us all. Kendrick Sims June 2025

Story
Life moves like water—fluid, unpredictable, deep. Sometimes it carries us gently, other times it pulls us under, leaving us struggling to find our breath. In these pages, I explore the spiritual currents that have shaped my journey, reflecting on the moments when I have floated, fought against the tide, or surrendered to the flow. This collection is inspired by the different levels I’ve encountered in life—times of challenge, growth, and transformation—and the way water mirrors those experiences. What do we do when we feel like we are sinking? How do we navigate the unknown when we ...

Story
This is not a book about losing faith. It’s about walking away from the version of it that asked you to disappear. In Not Your Good Girl Anymore, Faith Hubble writes with razor-edged tenderness about what it means to grow up obedient, to unlearn silence, and to come home to a self you were never taught to love. Told in three parts—what they taught me, the leaving, and free looks like this—this collection traces the quiet violence of religious shame and the fierce, beautiful work of reclaiming your body, voice, and worth. These poems are for the ones who stopped being good to start ...

Story

Story
After the loss of my wife, Michele, in April of 2020 (we were together for fifty-six years), my heartache overwhelmed me. While in a hospice therapy session, I learned one method of healing was to write poetry and to date each one to show the progression of your healing. These poems are a result of that. I hope they help you possibly as much as they helped me.

Story
This book is a collection of poetry centering heavily on practice of examining one's self, looking at once at one's actions and one's motivations, the examining of one's feelings. What are the things your heart longs for? How do you respond to situations when they go well or poorly? I believe that self-examination is important and needful in order to gain a godly perspective. The word of God and the life example that Jesus lived is the standard of how a life is to be lived.

Story

Story
Debut poet and devout Christian Kilgore attests that although he penned the poems in his ecclesiastic collection, “God is the true author,” and that the purpose of his poetry is to “bind hearts back to God” so that his listeners may find their own connection to Christ. Kilgore is most successful in this ambitious endeavor when he dramatizes his own spiritual euphoria, like in “Latter Rain,” which builds to these potent declarations: “This feeling that enraptured me // And shook my whole of frame, // Was God descending on my soul // His spirit’s Latter Rain.”

Story
Apples of Gold is a collection of twenty eight poems meant to inspire and uplift, and offer encouragement for Christians. It is written with the spirit to edify and perfect the faith of those who have been walking with God for a while and those who are new to the faith. In addition, I hope this poetry speaks to others who have not initiated a relationship with the Lord. Just as my first two books, Words Fitly Spoken and Words Fitly Spoken Book Two spoke of God’s mighty power, his faithfulness and his tender loving care for us, Apples of Gold continues along the same vein.
