Well written and entertaining. The reviews that described the so called "rape scene" as brutal and graphic are just silly. Spoiler alert... A girl given ecstasy who then takes off her shirt and performs fellatio on several men while being filmed without her consent is not a "brutal rape scene". Sad and unfortunate maybe, but not brutal.

Story
Composed in the last years of Roberto Bolaño's life, 2666 was greeted across Europe and Latin America as his highest achievement, surpassing even his previous work in its strangeness, beauty, and scope. Its throng of unforgettable characters includes academics and convicts, an American sportswriter, an elusive German novelist, and a teenage student and her widowed, mentally unstable father. Their lives intersect in the urban sprawl of Santa Teresa - a fictional Juárez - on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Story
In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women—mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends—view one another. A deeply moving novel filled with poignancy, humor, and hope, The Help is a timeless and universal story about the lines we abide by, and the ones we don't.

One of the best books I have read in my lifetime. Although I listen vs read mostly out of convenience, I would highly recommend the audiobook. This was the best narration I've encountered in the countless audiobooks I've listened to and the separate narrators paint a perfect picture of each character.

Cringeworthy narration!!!

The story was fantastic as usual. Love The Hollows! In fact, this is my second read through the series. Years ago when I first purchased this, I didn’t leave a review but I’m so annoyed by the narrator I can’t help myself this time. To be fair, the overall narration was decent BUT her pronunciation of important words/names made me want to scream! If you were hired to narrate a book in a series that had previously been narrated, would you not AT LEAST check on the proper pronunciation of main characters names important items, objects, etc…??? At first I gave her the benefit of the doubt (maybe she HAD checked with the author and Marguerite Gavin actually had them wrong) but by the end of the book I knew that was impossible as ALMOST EVERY important name/magical word (except for the obvious) were literally butchered!! Arrrggggghhhh!!

One of the best books I've ever read! The narrator was the best I've ever listened to and I'm an audiobook addict. Every character had a unique voice and perfect accent. Libba Bray just keeps getting better and better. The first book in the trilogy was very good, the second was great and this one was fantastic.
