Story
After a childhood spent on Hollywood film sets, Meghan Markle fought hard for stardom. But even when she landed her breakthrough role on Suits, her dream of worldwide celebrity remained elusive until she met the man who would change her life—Prince Harry. Their whirlwind romance culminated with Meghan’s ultimate fairy tale ending: their 2018 wedding at Windsor Castle. Finally, the world was her stage. It seemed that the dizzying success of the wedding between the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex marked the beginning of a fresh era for the British Royal Family.

Overall this was an interesting listen and cemented my opinion of the Sussexes.
My only complaint was in an effort to add a lot of detail it was sometimes difficult to follow as there was a bit of choppiness. However, you could tell the author put a lot of effort into research.

Story
A guy who rejects or breaks up with you should no longer exist in your life. Contacting him or allowing him to stay in touch with you will make you work harder and harder to convince him that you’re worth his love and attention, and it will compel you to play that ugly and unwinnable game called Chase-a-Man. The best way to avoid this ugly game and break his spell over you is to cut the guy off (cease all communications and interactions) for a set period of time, or in some cases, keep him cut off out of your life indefinitely.

Common sense, easy to understand and great narration. I just came off a bad breakup and felt as though I got a pat on the back after listening to this because I did not chase him.

I’m bingeing this podcast and love the way it’s narrated as well as the inclusion of victims families. It’s an important way to remember the victims, that they were real people not just a story.

Story
In 1994, an aspiring young cold-case investigator in California’s East Bay, Paul Holes, puts aside trying to solve the Golden State Killer case as he waits for science to catch up. Paul returns to an old file cabinet at the back of the forensic lab to look for another cold case he can work—something with DNA. He finds one. The 1978 murder of a married mother who went for a morning jog in a nearby park. The original investigators believed that a serial killer named Phillip Hughes was responsible; they just couldn’t prove it.

In 2015, Mary Yoder returned home from the chiropractic center that she operated with her husband, Bill, complaining that she felt unwell. Mary, health-conscious and vibrant, was suddenly vomiting, sweating, and weak. Doctors in the ER and ICU were baffled as to the cause of her rapidly progressing illness. Her loved ones - including Bill and their children, Adam, Tamryn, and Liana - gathered in shock to say good-bye. In the weeks that followed Mary's death, the grief-stricken family received startling news from the medical examiner: Mary had been deliberately poisoned with colchicine.

Really Wanted to Love This Book
Reviewed: 04-30-20
I really enjoy Billy Jenson on his podcast, I admire his determination to fighting crime through his journalism, his intelligence, care for the victims and their families, however, this audio book is all over the map.
One story jumps into another and I found many of his flashbacks to his deceased father sort of annoying. I’m sure that sounds insensitive on my part but I was eager to listen to the cases, the meat of the stories he’s covered, not be continually reminded that Billy’s father was the inspiration for everything he does.
I hope that Billy’s future books stick a little closer to the facts of the cases, staying on target/track and less a foray into creative writing.
