Getting to Yes Audiobook By Roger Fisher, William Ury, Bruce Patton cover art

Excellent Book!

Overall
5 out of 5 stars

This is an excellent read. It makes you rethink everything you ever thought about negotiation, and you can use it's insights very quickly in business and everyday life. I wish all books in this genre were this useful! If I had one wish for this book, it would be to have it updated with more current examples for younger people that may not be familiar with the many examples in the book. This book is for everyone, not just business people. Highly recommended!

Rich Dad, Poor Dad Audiobook By Robert T. Kiyosaki, Sharon L. Lechter C.P.A. cover art

Book is great for those who fear money.

I thought this book was quite good for showing people a different "attitude" towards money. It was entertaining, but it's real strength was in showing people how to think differently about money and showing you how to recognize opportunities. It also shows you how to lose your fear of money. There are few specifics in the book, but making money is an individual pursuit, and there is no single way to get rich that works for everyone. This book explains that, such as the fact you have to "love" an investment or don't bother with it. In real life, your perception of, and reaction to everything around you shapes what happens to you more then following step by step guides. This book follows that philosophy.

Good principle, but...

Overall
2 out of 5 stars

I think the breakout principle is a good idea, however this book does not seem to break any new ground or explain anything out of the ordinary. There was not much in this book to keep my interest, nor was there any epiphones in there. In books like this, I expect to hear some new ideas, new ways of thinking, and little treasures that keep me interested. There were none in this audio book. I found my mind drifting elsewhere when listening as there was too much repetition of old ideas in this book.
