Disappointing
Reviewed: 09-14-15
What disappointed you about The Culmination?
The characters were cheesy and childish
Has The Culmination turned you off from other books in this genre?
no
How could the performance have been better?
Lauren Rowe is an excellent narrator but John Lane was no good for this genre he sounded like an infomercial trying to sell sex it just didn't work.
Any additional comments?
Well I loved the first 3 in the Club series but this one was very disappointing The story line was a good continuation of the romance between Jonas and Sarah while the actions and conversations in this book were childish, immature and dribble, Jonas was more interested in sex than his new born twins in the NICU and the sex appeared to be just about the shock value and pushing boundaries more than any sensuality to it.Now the male narrator John Lane needs to stick to selling insurance for infomercials, the one star goes to Lauren Rowe for her exceptional narration.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Needed a different narrator
Would you be willing to try another one of Kathryn Clark’s performances?
yes
Was A Secret Love worth the listening time?
yes
Any additional comments?
This is the story of a marriage with a twist, I found the story intriguing although some parts where a bit childish narrated by Catherine Clark who's voice I found was quite monotone and sleepy. All over this is just under 2 hours audiobook and worth it just for the story line.

Story
When you're a defense attorney in Washington, DC, you see firsthand how hard life can be and that sometimes the only way to survive is to be harder. I have a reputation for being cold, callous, and intimidating - and that suits me just fine. In fact it's necessary when I'm breaking down a witness on the stand.

Ivan Everley, 13th baron of Rothvale, would admit he's the last person on Earth who should have custody over a priceless collection of art. British law affords him the title of lord, but underneath all the trappings he's just a regular guy, despite being a world champion in archery, and certain...proclivities of a private nature. But Ivan's public celebrity is merely a sham - a carefully guarded secret borne out of the pain of betrayal.

I did like this the relationship between Saint and Racheal is very sensual and the sex is hot, unfortunately there wasn't much substance to the storyline and it tended to drag along with the same thing happening over and over again. Narrated by Grace Grant who is always a pleasure to listen to I am hoping for a little more in the next book.

What does Jason Clarke bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Jason Clarke did an excellent job of giving James a voice.
Any additional comments?
I did like this POV from James Cavendish and some of the other men from the In Flight series, James is a great Alpha character but there was a part in the middle where he is jealous of Joseph one of their bodyguards and James acts like a spoilt child and acts like a real pr**k which put a bit of a chink in his sexy armor. Narrated by Jason Clark who did a terrific job of giving James Cavendish a voice and personality.
