What a sweet story of community, friendship and healing… I so identify with Meredith… who finds herself starting her life over at 50… following a divorce and children who have moved away… the opportunity of an estate left to her after her father’s passing.. opens the door to a new life with new friends!

Before reading this book, I had never heard of the Smith Relief Effort comprised of former women alumni of Smith College.
Learning of their dedication and resolve to serve the refugees suffering in France during WWI,
greatly inspired me to become a better person in serving the community around me.
