Shockingly, a similar situation is playing out in the silver market at this very moment, and The Big Silver Short provides the perfectly timed handguide to profit from one of the greatest investing opportunities in history!

great info... choice to use interview format??
Reviewed: 06-09-21
there is great and disciple information in this book. however the choice by the author to use a raw interview format makes this book a lot longer than he needs to be. I understand wanting to make it similar to market wizards, however even the market wizards the author percented a condense form of the interview. meaning the reader in this case listener, did not spend 5 minutes listening through interviews or another 5 minutes listening to the author speak his points that he had made previously in other interviews. not that such things are negative they are normal when interviewing different people because you will get different answers to a similarly pose question, however it makes the text longer than it needs to be.

Story
The current crisis is not like 2008 or even 1929. The New Depression that has emerged from the COVID pandemic is the worst economic crisis in US history. Most fired employees will remain redundant. Bankruptcies will be common, and banks will buckle under the weight of bad debts. Deflation, debt, and demography will wreck any chance of recovery, and social disorder will follow closely on the heels of market chaos. The happy talk from Wall Street and the White House is an illusion. The worst is yet to come.

Only bone to pick is that Jim is proposing the US follow FDR's action.... confiscate all GOLD from American citizens and then revalue the dollar-to-gold.
yes it is true to this is the end play.
my bone is that Jim spins this as a positive outcome for regular Americans... which it is not, for the elites yes sir. Jim should have spun this as a warning.

Interesting insight into how family lives, a son learns, a father teaches, and a wife remains dutifully caring, in such an insane world.

Story
Mike Lofgren is back with a book perfectly pitched for the frenzied circus of the primaries. His argument this time is that for all of the backstabbing and money grubbing of the campaign season, the politicians we elect have as little ability to shift policy as Communist party apparatchiks. Welcome to Mike Lofgren's Washington, DC - a This Town where the political theater that is endlessly tweeted and blogged about has nothing to do with actual decision making.

Great explanation of how things work
Reviewed: 05-22-20
Although I disagree with a few of his recommendations, he clearly articulates how corporate, beurocratic, and elected officials operate for their benefit while fleecing and dumbing down the public. He also shows little elected officials control the government.
