it wasn't as predictable as other stories. I loved all 3 stories of the Mcabe brothers and their amazing women.

Story
The cold, precise Duke of Montford demands things his way: neatly ordered, in place, and adhering closely to the rules. So he is furious when he learns that the tenant of his ducal estate has been dead for a year, and a stranger has been running the Honeywell business - which, by contract, is now Montford's. When he arrives in Yorkshire to investigate, he discovers that the estate is being run by an unruly, tomboyish woman - and a bluestocking at that!

Silly characters
Reviewed: 01-07-25
Although there were some funny moments, the many characters were incredibly empty, silly and extremely irritating. Many seem to enjoy the story but not me. The two main characters were the worst of all.

Story
The fairest flower in Mawbry is Erienne Fleming, the enchanting, raven-haired daughter of the village mayor. Charming, spirited, and exquisitely lovely, she is beset on all sides by suitors, any one of whom would pay a king's fortune for a place in her heart. But Erienne has eyes for only one: the dashing and witty young Yankee, Christopher Seton. But marriage for love is not to be, for her irresponsible and unscrupulous father, crippled by gambling debts, is intent on auctioning off his beautiful daughter to the highest bidder.

Long and drawn out
Reviewed: 11-04-24
I love reading or this case listening to romance novels, however this story was one of the most drawn out story of irritating characters I have ever come across. However, the narrator was excellent.
