Story
With the attack countdown ticking toward zero, Mark and Perry pitch themselves headfirst into a seemingly impossible mission. One intended to break Gyl-Mareth's hold on the Guild, and thus the galaxy, once and for all. But first, Peaceful Skies must fall. Their strike is silent and deadly. Justice prevails. As a veteran and battle-tested soldier, Mark Tudor understands one key truth—violence is never a straightforward affair. Even the best-laid plans can crumble. And when working against a savvy predator, one should always expect the unexpected.

The story takes off right away and kept me engaged the whole way through. At various times I felt real anger and honest sadness. However, I laughed out loud plenty as well.
Seriously, this is a great book.

Honestly, if you went to outer space, even if it was entirely by accident, you'd have two basic concerns.
Can I breathe the atmosphere on any planets I visit?
How will I communicate with the "people" I find there?
This idiot couldn't even figure out these two necessities.

Story
From the halls of power in Washington to the vastness of space, the Guild moves closer to outright war as shifting alliances force everyone—including Van—to pick a side, take up arms, and fight. But there are ghosts out there in the black, and some of them carry secrets that Mark Tudor and Petyr Groshenko refused to reveal. In the expanse of his memory, Perry finds an ancient ship, and an even older war—and neither of those things have truly gone away.

Story
A million-copy seller, Henry Hazlitt’s Economics in One Lesson is a classic economic primer. But it is also much more, having become a fundamental influence on modern “libertarian” economics of the type espoused by Ron Paul and others. Called by H. L. Mencken “one of the few economists in history who could really write,” Henry Hazlitt achieved lasting fame for this brilliant but concise work.

Simple, Unabashed Truth
Reviewed: 06-02-23
This book, while somewhat dated, still presents basic economic truths in such a way that anyone can follow along. Those that rate it poorly do so only because it confronts the lies they use to push social justice, larger government and bad economic theories.

A daring and resourceful paleontologist uncovers something at the infamous K-T boundary marking the end of dinosaurs in the fossil record - something big, dangerous, and absolutely, categorically impossible. It's a find that will catapult her to the Martian moon Phobos, then down to the crater-pocked desert of the Red Planet itself. For this mild-mannered fossil hunter may just have become Earth's first practicing xenobiologist!

A good story ruined by the narrator
Reviewed: 11-13-20
I've read this story on Kindle and wanted to "read" it again while driving and working. while the story is just as good, the narrator read it like he was reading bedtime stories to a child. He reads 3-5 words, then pauses, then 3-5 more words with another pause. all of it in the softly smooth and condecending tone that an adult uses to explain something to a child.
Honestly, I could barely stand to listen to him speak.
