Story
Asher Donovan is a living legend—the darling of the Premier League, the (arguably) greatest footballer in the world. But his reckless antics and recent team transfer have caused much controversy, and when his feud with his rival-turned-teammate costs them a championship, they’re forced to “bond” during off-season cross-training. Surviving the summer shouldn’t be hard…until Asher meets their new trainer. She’s beautiful, talented, and no matter how hard he tries, he can’t take his mind off her.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I didn’t like an Ana Huang book. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one because it’s different from what she normally writes, but I should’ve known she’d deliver. Asher and Scarlett were interesting, and the forced proximity had me biting my nails waiting for them to finally give in. This was one of those books that you’re glad is longer because you don’t want it to end.
The audio is A+++++++. Narrators are spot on and very very believable. I am so glad I listened to it!!

Charming, easygoing, and rich beyond belief, Xavier Castillo has the world at his fingertips. He also has no interest in taking over his family’s empire (much to his father’s chagrin), but that hasn’t stopped women from throwing themselves at him…unless the woman in question is his publicist. Nothing brings him more joy than riling her up, but when a tragedy forces them closer than ever, he must grapple with the uncertainty of his future—and the realization that the only person immune to his charms is the only one he truly wants.

Seriously what is in these books? Whatever it is, it’s addictive. I keep saying every one in this series is my favorite, but that’s because they keep getting better.
Sloane and Xavier are PURE HEAT. And I am a sucker for forced proximity. Nobody writes it like Ana does.
Also, as far as the audiobook… let me tell you, Gregory Salinas and Elena Wolfe absolutely nailed these characters!!!!! And it’s in duet narration, so you really feel like you’re experiencing the relationship as it happens.

I had read all these books before I got the audio. The series is so so good!! Nobody writes sweet and spicy quite like Kandi…and hearing it is even better! I actually loved every single narrator and feel like they embodied their characters perfectly. This is well worth buying!!

I’m just going to tell you before I even start my review to plug in all your necessary reading companions before you start this book (or make sure you have enough batteries on hand to power all your…𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔𝓈.) You will be needing them.
Eleanor wakes up after a wild night in Sin City to find she’s now hitched to Crew Matthew’s, the star QB of the Las Vegas Raiders. Not only did they 𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒍 after their shotgun wedding, but they included his teammates Nate and TJ in their after-wedding activities. (Like, they bang. All of them. Bless.) But when they go the next morning for the customary Vegas annulment, they’re told they need to live together as a married couple for 30 days first. Although this was definitely not part of the plan, they figure that it shouldn’t be too hard since neither of them are planning on catching feelings. They’ll do their time and part ways at the end of the month. 𝐏𝐟𝐟𝐟𝐟𝐟 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐡𝐡𝐡𝐡𝐡 𝐨𝐤 𝐠𝐮𝐲𝐬𝐬𝐬𝐬𝐬.
As I’m sure you’ve figured out, feelings get involved (as do the Tweedles, as they’re called. But I just refer to them as 𝒟𝒶𝒹𝒹𝓎 and 𝓓𝓪𝓭𝓭𝓲𝓮𝓻 because the God of filthy mouthed athletes has rewarded us for being thirsty sluts. Amen.) Aaaaanywayyyy…Elle and Crew are left to navigate their feelings for one another as the expiration date of their marriage closes in.
I just…like…I 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶 all the dirty things, but it’ll spoil it, so I’ll just say that you should plan accordingly to read this in one sitting because you won’t want to put it down. It’s pure filth and you’ll laugh your ass off…and you’re going to love it. Trilina, please adopt me.
And the audiobook?? Hands down, best I’ve ever heard. The cast is spot on. Jacob Morgan as Crew is what dirty fantasies are made of. Every last one of them nailed it!

Such a great audio from LA, as always!
Reviewed: 10-13-23
This book is unlike a lot of the ones I normally read. Usually, I shy away from reading stories where an already established couple is going through tough times because it becomes too real and it makes me sad. But we have known Connor and Ella from the beginning of this series and I just had to follow through.
Connor and Ella have it all. He’s a star for the Lakers with a promising future in the NHL. And she is ready to follow him anywhere as his future wife. But when Connor takes a hard hit on the ice that leaves him severely injured, their plans are derailed. And without hockey, Connor convinces himself that he has nothing left to offer. Although Ella tries her best to comfort and reassure him that he’s still her everything, he pushes her away. Is love enough to get them through the toughest test of their relationship?
I cried so much reading this one, but it was so so good. Everything isn’t always rainbows and butterflies…and sometimes it’s refreshing to read about a couple who is trying to navigate the bad things that life has thrown at them. And Connor and Ella have always been soulmates.
The audio for this book was phenomenal, as are all the others from this series. The emotions were captured perfectly and I think it really helped me feel everything more hearing it.

Not what I expected!

When I heard Lan was getting a book, I was like “Nah. I’m good. I can’t imagine his love story being readable.” But I’m so glad I gave it a chance because the Landon I thought I knew and the Landon we see here are 2 completely different people. While he and his enemies’ sister get off to a very rough start, Lan eventually becomes emotionally attached and dare I even say…kinda sweet? I thought for sure we were getting a deranged psychopath (he does have some of that, but nowhere near what everyone else in the series made us think) and ended up with, idk…NOT ONE.
Mia is absolutely adorable and brave for taking no crap from anyone. Not even someone with as much power as Lan. I also love how she never let her inability to speak stop her from communicating with him.
The audio for this book is great! It’s in Duet, so you really get the feel of the story. And both narrators fit their parts so well!

Vince Tanev is TOP NOTCH!
Reviewed: 07-05-23
Kandi writes top notch swoony athletes, but this is her first hockey player. I didn’t doubt her for a single second, but I also was 𝓃𝑜𝓉 expecting the hurricane of Vince Tanev.
When Maven is given a work assignment to follow the NHLs hottest rookie playboy to expand her company’s social media following, she can think of millions of other things she’d rather do. She has zero patience for athletes because she has been broken by one in the past. She assumes Vince will be no better. But, with no other choice, she is forced to spend every waking moment with him. He is hell-bent from day one on breaking her down and making her fall for him. Her walls are up, but it’s only a matter of time before they start to crumble.
This man is 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈. He’s cocky, knows what he wants…but is also so genuine. Maven wasn’t the only one surprised by him. Even I was shocked the Vince really was just a great guy right from the start. And let me tell you he has a filthy, filthy mouth. Maven was such a great FMC…and her best friend Livia is now my BBF (book best friend).
As for the audio; i had already read the book, so I really wasn’t expecting to have much of an emotional reaction, but I definitely did. The audio made me feel like I was reading for the first time. Megan Wicks killed it, as usual! She was such an amazing Maven. And Edward Black played the part of Vince so well! I loved them together.

Dane Wade is a breath of fresh air. Sexy, charming, and with abs that could melt any woman’s panties. With my rules and boundaries in place, he is the perfect person to have fun with to pass the time. As long as he knows it will never amount to anything more. Which he does…I think. But then boundaries get shattered. Lines get blurred. I know it’s time to bolt before things get harder, and I risk falling deeper. Running away is the only thing I know how to do. And, in my twenty years on this earth, it’s worked for me.

I have loved this book since the first time I read it. Hannah has a way of making your emotions go all over the place. You’ll go from smiling to laughing to gasping to crying…and you’ll love every second of it.
Dane Wade is the star QB of Florida East University. After a falling out with his brother Weston and his best friend Henley (who is the girl his brother loves), he finds himself feeling empty. But when he meets Henley’s friend Layla, he immediately feels drawn to her for some reason. But she has been broken by life to a point where she refuses to get emotionally attached to anyone. The couple decides to be friends-with-benefits, thinking they can ignore the connection they’ve had from the start. But when their arrangement comes to an end, it’s not as easy as they expected it to be.
I will forewarn you…buy tissues. You will need them.

I have never wanted to spoil a book in a review so bad…I literally want to squeal over every single detail of this one because Eeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! But, I won’t do that to you. I’ll try to keep myself under control.
Unlike a lot of Ana’s MMCs, Kai is not morally grey. He’s kind of your run-of-the-mill, nerdy, even keel billionaire (ok that’s probably not a thing, but it’s fine.) from the outside. But the man has a possessive streak and a FILTHY mouth behind closed doors. Ugh…I love him to death. And Isabella: well, she’s me. With the purple hair, the inappropriate language and jokes, and all-around hot-mess-express demeanor…she’s Kai’s polar opposite. But you know opposites attract. The couple really does form an instant connection. There’s flirting and banter and all sorts of tension before they finally stop resisting their chemistry.
The thing I love most about this couple is how caring they are toward one another. There’s no nonsense and lots of communication. I do love a good bit of toxic drama sometimes, but it’s also nice to just watch a couple fall head over heels for one another (and role play and there’s feathers…but I definitely won’t spoil that. Trust me, I’m still sweating.)
This is by far my new favorite book of Ana’s and the audio is absolutely worth every penny. It’s always good to have both hands free when the spice spices this hard, if you know what I mean. *wiggles eyebrows* Both narrators embody the characters perfectly. I laughed out loud…and there was probably audible panting at some points but don’t be judgy about it. I’m just out here living my life.

Being a virgin isn’t the biggest part of my problem. What I need to prepare for the full college experience is someone to teach me what to do in bed. Though I hate to admit defeat, this is one accolade I can’t earn on my own. I have the perfect tutor in mind: my brother’s best friend. Cooper Vale: hometown heartthrob, sultry bad boy, and my neighbor since we were kids.

I read this book when it first came out, but I knew I had to do a re-read/listen now that it is on audio. The story itself was a five star read for me. I was interested about how the audio performance would be because Aaron Shedlock is not who I necessarily imagined as the voice of Cooper. He did an absolutely amazing job! It ended up being a perfect fit. And Kasi Hollowell was awesome as Tatum.
If you like a brother’s best friend/spice tutor/1st time story, this is the one!! You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll swoon…but I promise you will not be disappointed!
