Publisher's summary

She's his opposite in every way...and the greatest temptation he's ever known.

Reserved, controlled, and proper to a fault, Kai Young has neither the time nor inclination for chaos—and Isabella, with her purple hair and inappropriate jokes, is chaos personified.

With a crucial CEO vote looming and a media empire at stake, the billionaire heir can’t afford the distraction she brings.

Isabella is everything he shouldn’t want, but with every look and every touch, he’s tempted to break all his rules...and claim her as his own.

***

Bold, impulsive, and full of life, Isabella Valencia has never met a party she doesn’t like or a man she couldn’t charm...except for Kai Young.

It shouldn’t matter. He’s not her type—the man translates classics into Latin for fun, and his membership at the exclusive club where she bartends means he’s strictly off limits.

But she can’t deny that, beneath his cool exterior, is a man who could make her melt with just a touch.

No matter how hard they try, they can’t resist giving into their forbidden desires.

Even if it costs them everything.

King of Pride is a steamy opposites-attract forbidden billionaire romance. It's book two in the Kings of Sin series but can be listened to as a stand-alone.

Contains explicit content and profanity. Recommended for mature listeners only.

Not Quite What I Was Expecting Voice-Wise

Loved this book when I first read it, and this series is still one of my favs. I really wish Jacob Morgan could’ve narrated Kai again here and had high hopes that he would. I was not a fan of this narrator’s voice or his British accent. I felt like you could tell he was trying too hard, and it just didn’t sound authentic to me. I thought I was maybe being too critical until I read some of the reviews so far. I really believe the narration should’ve done Kai some justice. I did enjoy the female narrator. Story still remains beautiful.

Loved the story & narration!

I love all of Ana Huang’s books, but King if Pride might be a new favorite!

A good continuation.

A solid continuation of the series with plenty of heart wrenching moments and laughs. Like others I missed the vocal talents of book two, and this one was was still lovely despite the change.

King of Pride

This was one of my favorite Ana Huang books so far! I loved Isabella, her character is a fresh of breath air from previous characters in Huang’s book world: purple hair, tattooed, aspiring erotic thriller writer, and a bartender. She’s my kinda girl so it was fun to see her and crisp-put-together Kai connect so much.

The narration was done so well! I felt like it was truly Isa and Kai speaking and their performance gave the characters and their intoxicating story so much life. It made doing chores a lot more enjoyable!

My favorite scene is probably THAT scene where he had her read a page of a book.

SOOO Not a Fan of Kai’s Narrator

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this book! But Kai’s narration was horrible, and it took me out of it a few times! Which is such a disappointment! While I appreciate that he is Asian he made Kai sound bored. A complete lack of passion, and not a great English accent either that’s the only reason I went from a 5 to a 4 ⭐️

A wanna be author and a wanna be CEO

First I love Vivian and Dante’s story and this one follows Isabella and Kai who were introduced in their story. At first, it was hard for me to get used to David Lee Huynh as Kai but I love Emery Ericsson’s performance. The duet narration is always a delight to listen to which I enjoyed tremendously. I love the multiple scenes of date nights that Ana takes it. Very beautiful images from Coney Island, the underground bar which balloons to the piano room and Barber …..enjoyable and I look forward to more stories of the maybe Sloan or Alexandra :)

Love

Couldn't wait to read this one. Loved Kai in King of Wrath even though he's the opposite of what I usually like. But he was so great. but devoured the book and love this audio just as much. Also love that Kai is an Asian narrator, he was great and did an excellent English accent.

Meh in comparison to the first

I loved Kai in the first book. I wish the same narrator had read Kai for this book. I also loved the first story and felt like I’ve been waiting this whole time for this story to pick up the pace. It never did.

Good story awful narrator

It’s a great story and I recommend reading it because dear god it is painful to listen to the guy reading it. Never heard a worse British accent in my entire life.
