Story
Mina Louvet is a fighter, a human with a powerful will to survive in a world dominated by warlocks, soul-eaters, and shifters. Identified by the king's witch as one of the rare, invaluable females in Dragons Realm who can give birth to a dragon's son, she was stolen from her parents as a child and taken to the Keep to be reared in the ways of the Ahavi. As one of the few, the elect - the Sklavos Ahavi - Mina is expected to feed her master's fire, reanimate his blood, and above all else, give him strong dragon offspring: children who will one day rise to power.

Wow! I was breathless
Reviewed: 01-05-17
This book was amazing! Absolutely terrifying and beautiful all rolled into one story. Although by the ending of this book she could very well write another.
So many twists and turns. What you think is going to happen turns into a jaw dropping scene, that keeps you breathless and in the edge of your seat.
If I didn't have to work I wouldn't put this down. I could not wait to come back and hear the rest of the story. And how this very dark love story was going to work itself out?
When the narrator used that very deep and dark tone I wanted to just jump down into his throat.
This was my first book with this narrator and author. I am already trying to decide which of the next books I will start on.

Story
ANALISA....He whispers her name, and it echoes back to him on the wings of the night. She is so young, so alive. She radiates warmth and goodness, chasing the coldness from his being, banishing the loneliness from his soul. In four centuries of prowling, the shadows have brought him few pleasures, but the nearness of her soft lips, her warm throat, promise sweetness beyond imagining.

Not my favorite

Wasn't bad but not my favorite. The other book Embrace the Night was much better. The performance/narration was ok for the female parts but when it came to the vampire I wanted to laugh. Sounded like dextor from the 90's cartoon Dextor Lab. It was an ok book

Old world romantic
Reviewed: 12-21-16
If you love vampires and old world romantics. Then this is the book for you. Very long and the love scenes were done with class.
It took me on a journey with them. Very sad. You felt for "Gabriel" the vampire who all he wanted was love and Sara's touch.
I fell in love with him.
I highly recommend this, if you are a romantic. If your looking for the darker side of vampires this is not the book for you. Although you will be chased, buried alive (for Sara) and fight your way out of some very intense moments.
Can't wait to check out the other book from this author.

In over my head
Reviewed: 12-15-16
I was in WAY over my head with this one. It certainly opened my eyes to things that I couldn't even imagine as I really didn't know much about this world. It was pretty intense. But was well written that I needed to finish to find out what happened. Very HARD CORE, you have been fore warned. This was not my cup of tea. Or whiskey
