Story
In The End of Life as We Know It, best-selling author Michael Guillen takes a penetrating look at how the scientific community is pushing the boundaries of morality. The End of Life as We Know It takes us into laboratories and boardrooms where these troubling advances are taking place and asks the question no scientists seem to be asking: What does this mean for the future of humanity?

I was hoping a scientific review, I got a bunch of personal opinions
Reviewed: 10-19-20
Instead of recount of the latest advances you will get a bunch of preconceived notions based on religion and or personal opinions. Religion, not science is the base of this book, if you want a scientific recount of current advances this is not the book you want to spend your time with. It will leave you an aftertaste of bad republican propaganda.

Those who survive the spire's trials return home with an attunement: a mark granting the bearer magical powers. According to legend, those few who reach the top of the tower will be granted a boon by the spire's goddess. He never returned. Now it's Corin's turn. He's headed to the top floor, on a mission to meet the goddess.

Great entertaining and engaging
Reviewed: 09-28-20
Well I can’t ask for anything else, very imaginative, it has everything needed to get engaged and looking forward the next chapter. Diverse in ethnicities and everything else makes it even a better more contemporary and endearing novel. Tha narrator is great, able to do several distinctive tiles, but perhaps some voices are a bit irritating but perhaps that was his intent. The only criticism I have is that the fighting scenes are a bit too long and I tend to get bored and distracted. But that is perhaps my own problem, prolonged fighting scenes are always boring to me, I like them better shorter. Overall great.

Boy-crazy, mentally challenged, stereotypical superficial teen
Reviewed: 09-10-20
The story and plot are great (overall story) but the heroin was developed so poorly with so many teen challenges and stereotypes that is very hard to listen to. I understand that the author attempted to create exasperation , suspense and eagerness from the readers but to me was overdone and almost too painful to listen to, without yelling at the heroin some insult. If it was a written novel I would have abandoned it long ago, but because It was an Audiobook I finish listen to it.

Loved it
Reviewed: 11-05-17
I can appreciate the tension created by the writer on the love story, so many close calls were making me so inpatient and anxious to fast forward, but with some restrain I was able to let it play, it was rewarding when it finally happened, then it was very explicit, VERY descriptive, was happy I had earphones and I think I even blushed a little...lol, the rest of the stories were just perfect. I’m looking forward the Mammoth hunters.

Gaining ground is an amazing heartfelt generous and naked un-embellished true story of a farmer that saves his farm by attempting everything that was available to him failing over and over again, and finally succeeding by understanding what the earth was asking him to do. Inspirational by anyone considering natural farming practices.

Story
Some people's lives are entirely their own creations. James Rebanks' isn't. He's the first son of a shepherd who was the first son of a shepherd himself; his family have lived and worked in the Lake District of Northern England for generations, further back than recorded history. It's a part of the world known mainly for its romantic descriptions by Wordsworth and the much-loved illustrated children's books of Beatrix Potter. But James' world is quite different. His way of life is ordered by the seasons and the work they demand.

Amazing documentary of a way of life rapidly disappearing
Reviewed: 03-14-17
It was like walking in the hills, laying on the grass, observing the beautiful landscape. It was beautifully narrated. I am hoping the author writes another specifically on sheep farming including raising, breeding and doctoring. Covers superficially sheep farming more in a romantic anecdotal way, but very knowledgeable of the old way of doing things, I am very interested on learning such ways before they are lost.
