This book did not disappoint. Lots of action, technical details, and a great storyline cannot wait for the next book of the series to come out as always.

I learned a lot about reading maps and compass especially topographical maps. This book is very informative about surviving in an emergency or if in enemy territory.

I found this book to be an excellent story about hiking the trail. Even though it’s fictional, there is a lot of good information that someone needs to know before striking out on an extremely long hike.

I believe ( no pun intended) the stories in the Cold Case Files where to help fill in some gaps that were never covered or explained during the series.
I assume by the way the book ends they could possibly start the series backup.

Andrew Carnegie was a brilliant gentleman. I was surprised to learn in this book that he also gave pipe organs to churches. Started out as a messenger boy for the telegraph. Then work his way up through Pennsylvania Railroad. His autobiography is well worth the read it will give you more insight into the man.

I found this book to be very thought-provoking and insightful. The story is told in a very easy-to-understand way by using the concept of Santa Claus.

The chemistry between Royce and Adrienne the two main characters in this story is amazing. It's the kind of friendship I think we all seek, to be accepted as we are. To have that friend that can help you when you go astray, that friend that can be there with you when your heart is broke and that friend that is with you to celebrate the best times of your life.

What made the experience of listening to Hard Country the most enjoyable?

This was a very good story of the hardships of ranching in west Texas and New Mexico during the late 1800s.

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to seeing this book made into a Movie...
