There is so much wisdom in this book. Chuck Swindoll Nails It!
I think it is a must read for anyone experiencing horrific times. For me it was like a lamp in a dark tunnel giving me guidance on how to live through terrible situations in my life. It gave me hope as it suggest in the title. I'm so thankful that God gave Him this wisdom through His Word.

There are lots of good reasons to read this book.. The best reason is that it is scripturally based and John MacArthur writes it. He has written many tooks based on the Bible. This one encourages the pastor to not give up not give up. He uses the examples of Paul and our savior Jesus Christ.

This book was very insightful to me. Its about Paul Miller's life long journey with his wife and daughter who has Autism. The author is wise to articulate the directions people take in hard pressed life circumstances. Cynicism is rarely talked about in our world but Paul Miller explains how a believer can be aware of it and deal with it rightly. That its easy to be cynical for anyone. He also gently leads the way out of it.
