Story
In the daunting peaks of Razor's Mountains, someone has twisted the war cats into hideous meat vegetables, slaughtering and sending them to feed Ravager armies. It's enough to unsettle even Kita's stomach. But she refuses to relent until the war cats and their beautiful and alluring queen, Snowy, are free and have their vengeance.

Highly Enjoyable and Fun
Reviewed: 03-03-23
Birthright was the setup, and Razor's Pass took it and ran. All those random bits in Birthright come together to make a fun and exciting story. Kita keeps growing, as she takes on the roles of Rose and Commander, she learns they are more than she was led to believe. Kita adds some new friends. Snowy is a great companion and love interest for Kita. She has a long history that hints at what happened to The Mass. Cowboy proves to be an interesting addition and also has a past.
The narration is excellent with lots of energy and good pacing.

Story
Kita has a problem—if her day wasn’t bad enough. After being unexpectedly selected as Junior Commander of the futuristic Legion, Kita can’t wait to leave. However, her mother reveals Kita is the heiress to a powerful title in Arcone and insists Kita claim it before she leaves in a Proving Ritual of skill and honor. Kita was the famed Angel of Yorq, champion of the dueling circuit. The ritual should be easy. Now, she finds she’s gravely miscalculated the purpose of this fight. It’s not a duel of skill—but combat. She’s never experienced a battlefield, only the city streets.

A Bad Girl You'll Love
Reviewed: 05-18-22
I've read the series and enjoyed Mary Phillips performance. Birthright is a great setup to the Ascension series. Not only is Birthright fun but everything comes together in the next book when the series begins to cook . Kita is a fun bad girl that I fell in love with. Her dedication, loyalty, and care for her friends is enjoyable and a nice counter to her dark side.

The story is a mess and the plot is boring
Reviewed: 04-07-21
I thought this was Star Wars? You know, Action and Adventure in a galaxy far, far away. Instead, this boring dribble of narrative that is so poorly written it fails the fundamentals of basic fiction writing, plods along at a glacial pace. It tries to invoke the chaos and shenanigans of Aniken Skywalker and the wisdom of Obi-Wan through pointless and derivative flashbacks that tell you nothing and don't relate to the story. What action there is badly written, hard to follow, and might as well not exist. If you want Star Wars: Stardew Valley Farms you found it.
