Story
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.

The Hype is Real!

I finished this book in 2 days. The story is wonderful, and the characters are all well-written. I loved the main character, Elizabeth. She was strong, honest to a fault, and weird in a good way. She's a real heroine and I rooted for her the entire time.
I cannot recommend this book enough! A must read!!

Her latest story - a murder mystery laced with kinky sex, tragedy, and betrayal - is guaranteed to be ratings gold. New DNA technology has allowed the New York medical examiner’s office to make its first successful identification of a 9/11 victim in years. The twist: The victim, Victoria Ford, had been accused of the gruesome murder of her married lover. In a chilling last phone call to her sister, Victoria begged her to prove her innocence.

I read this book after reading Charlie Donlea's other book called "The Girl that was Taken". That book was one of my favorites and this one is just not even of the same caliber. This book dragged for me. The characters were bland, and the story was pretty slow. I will read other Charlie Donlea books, but I do not recommend this one.

Good, entertaining read! This one kept me guessing and the narrators are excellent.
If you like this one, read "The Girl Who Was Taken" by Charlie Donlea. That book is much better than this one and it is in a similar genre.

I would give this book 5 stars except for the bad ending. I wish the ending tied up the story. I hate not knowing what happened to the main character.

This is not the best of Lisa Gardner's books, but I still enjoyed it. Fast-paced but there were too many unbelievable suspects. Get this book if it's on sale but I'm not sure it is worth a credit.

I bought this book because it was on sale so i didn't know what to expect. I didn't see the reviews going in so i was pleasantly surprised when i finished. This book was really good! i highly recommend! Even if you are not familiar with his comedy specials, it is a really good read/listen.
What i enjoyed about this book - I love Jokoy's relationship with his mom and his funny stories about her. She sounds like such an amazing lady. The chapters go by really fast and there are no slow parts. There are so many funny anecdotes, I found myself laughing so loud in the car while listening.
After listening to this audible, i watched two of his Netflix specials. i loved them both! I recommend seeing those as well.

Story
Patrick, or Gay Uncle Patrick (GUP, for short), has always loved his niece, Maisie, and nephew, Grant. That is, he loves spending time with them when they come out to Palm Springs for weeklong visits, or when he heads home to Connecticut for the holidays. But in terms of caretaking and relating to two children, no matter how adorable, Patrick is, honestly, overwhelmed. So when tragedy strikes and Maisie and Grant lose their mother and Patrick's brother has a health crisis of his own, Patrick finds himself suddenly taking on the role of primary guardian.
