Story
Hey, I’m Ollie. A cash-strapped, 31-year-old aspiring writer, recently unceremoniously pink-slipped from my gig as a social media manager (read: de facto personal lackey) to a reality TV diva. Why? Because I got tired of sugarcoating the truth. With my bank account gasping for air and my dreams gathering dust, I hatched a scheme: dive into the sugar baby lifestyle, chronicle my misadventures for publication, and maybe make a quick buck. What could go wrong, right?

Bad Sugar Baby is a captivating listen that you won’t want to end. Erin Carere’s writing is incredibly well-crafted, leaving readers wanting more. Her narration, flawless and engaging.
Los Angeles, the concrete jungle of luxury and glamour, provides the setting for Bad Sugar Baby, where the shimmering lights and endless possibilities can be both exhilarating and expensive. Ollie, a small-town mid-western girl with big dreams of becoming a writer, leaves her hometown for the bustling, sun-drenched streets of LA where she finds herself employed by a self-absorbed social media influencer. When her career ends in disaster, Ollie finds herself not only unemployed but desperate for money.
Ollie’s friend, a single mom supporting her special needs son by being a sugar baby, encourages Ollie to explore the same path. Faced with the harsh reality that she’ll need a few jobs to stay afloat, Ollie reluctantly agrees. With the goal of turning the experience into a stepping stone towards her career as a writer, Ollie embarks on a peculiar journey into the life of a sugar baby.
As Ollie encounters a cast of unforgettable and unusual characters, the reader experiences a roller coaster of emotions, carrying them along with the highs and lows of each interaction. Some situations are so funny you’ll burst out laughing, others are truly upsetting, while others are just plain heartbreaking.
Bad Sugar Baby is a face-paced wonderfully entertaining audiobook and I highly recommend it.

This lecture was filled with information and presented in an unbiased fashion.

Sanctimonious Author
Reviewed: 05-25-22
The author may be a subject matter expert on Christianity, but he missed the classes for all other religions, The Dead Sea Scrolls and the Nag Hammadi library.
He also seems to have a deep rooted hatred for fictional writing.
I have not read nor watched any of Dan Brown’s work, so I was hoping this book might be more explanatory rather than sanctimonious babble by someone who believes Christianity IS and has always been as it’s been written.
The author also would have us believe everyone in the past was illiterate, including Jesus!
Don’t waste your time with this book unless you’ve drank the Christianity tea.

Waiting to be rediscovered in the British Library is an ancient manuscript of the early Church, copied by an anonymous monk. The manuscript is at least 1,450 years old, possibly dating to the first century, Jesus' lifetime. And now, The Lost Gospel provides the first-ever translation from Syriac into English of this unique document that tells the inside story of Jesus' social, family, and political life. The Lost Gospel takes listeners on an unparalleled historical adventure through a paradigm-shifting manuscript.

Story
The stuff of conspiracy theories makes for great, entertaining stories in movies, books, and television. And there is no shortage of subjects: from who really killed JFK to the truth behind 9/11. And then, there are subjects from alien invasions to the Moon landing was simulated - theories that are truly out of this world, which according to some, is flat. Many of these crazy concepts have jumped off the pages or screens to become so pervasive in our culture that thousands - even millions - subscribe to them as reality.

Sad that such an educated individual can spend so much time trying to convince people that his opinion is the only correct one.
I’m not one to believe in conspiracy theories, but if I did, I would feel as though my opinions were invalid after listening to this lecturer.
There’s a bit of interesting history in the early lectures, but not worth listening to beyond that.

I bought this book because I absolutely LOVE Rosalyn Landor. She is one of my favorite narrators. However, half way into the book, I found myself skipping ahead bit by bit. I agree with some of the other reviews..to much left unexplained and the story simply dragged on and on and on. I'll have to listen to other books by the author. One irritating book does not make a bad author. I'll hope for better.

Great Story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I loved the story and the way Kate Quinn took you inside the Borgia life. She didn't do as most and immediately go for the incest story. As a matter a fact, it was briefly mentioned.
What did you like best about this story?
The three narrators made the story interesting and kept it from being another male narrator trying to pull off a female voice.
Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?
Loved them all!
If you could take any character from The Serpent and the Pearl out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Carmelina. I don't know why. :)
Any additional comments?
I wish Kate Quinn's other books were in audio too.
