Story
Sebastian Frost’s most recent memory was waking up in a field naked, in a body that wasn’t his own, in a world that definitely wasn’t his own, and three stunning pointy-eared women staring right at him. He also remembered hair as white as starlight, eyes like amethysts, and the name Shalia. Fortunately, it was the right name to know. Shalia was the elves’ goddess, and that made him her herald.

This is a wonderfully told story of adventure as well as quite the ribald romp. The world and characters are rich and vibrant. The litrpg elements are fun without annoyingly slowing down the story.
This is a hidden gem that should not be missed. Just wish the authors had more stories on Audible.
The narration is quite impressive as well.

Story
Sebastian Frost was a man with an interesting reputation. He’d killed 12 giants, eight heroes, a duke, and even a prince. But nobody ever talked about any of that. All they talked about was the deviant, disgusting, detestable Herald of Shalia that shamelessly laid with elves. That was because in the strange world based on game mechanics Frost found himself in, laying with elves was somehow treated like laying with animals. Naturally, they weren’t calling him Herald Frost the giant killer....

Story
Welcome to The Slaughtered Lamb Bookstore and Bar. I'm Sam Quinn, the werewolf book nerd in charge. I run my business by one simple rule: Everyone needs a good book and a stiff drink, be they vampire, wicche, demon, or fae. No wolves, though. Ever. I serve the supernatural community of San Francisco. We've been having some problems lately. Okay, I'm the one with the problems. The broken body of a female werewolf washed up on my doorstep. What makes sweat pool at the base of my spine, though, is realizing the scars she bears are identical to the ones I conceal.

The story has its moments but the main character is too stupid to live. I’m surprised she didn’t spend half the book falling down when running away from monsters.

Good writing with a rich and vibrant world that is well thought out. Some of the stat overviews are a bit long but it’s a small gripe to an otherwise very good audiobook.

Hardcore Downer/ Buyer Beware
Reviewed: 12-24-22
The perfect listen for anyone who is too happy or who hates happy endings. The killers get away with murder and profits from it. I would have rather had the perspective of the evil witch who literally got everything she wanted despite killing and ruining lives. The book is a serious downer.
The writing is otherwise decent yet it doesn’t make up for an unenjoyable experience.
The narration was well done.

Seeing women being treated like dirt and accepting it may be realistic but it’s depressing as hell.
Having the main character publicly libeled as a stalker by her boyfriend’s employer is outrageous. It would haunt her employment opportunities for ever. If she ever had kids she wouldn’t even be able to volunteer at their school after even a cursory background check. How a lawyer would let that go even if they never planned to work in law again is jaw droppingly naive.
For a story that otherwise seems to promote equality this story is depressingly backwards. A more accurate title for the story would be The Doormat.

I’m convinced that the book is actually a mystery thriller. It should have been titled: The Case Of The Missing Plot.
Like where did it go?
And who took it?
Is the author saving it for book two?
If mercantile minutiae in space is your thing then look no further.
