It is not a bad story, Good plot. Just wasn't executed well enough for 5 stars for me. Could not bring myself to listen to the next book. The Narrator is good, and like him in other series also. Worth listening if nothing else is good is out at the moment.

The begging is okay, but soon becomes tedious to follow. There's several technical issues that could have been avoided by simply doing a little research. RC helped me get a far as chapter 18 before I threw the towel.
Weak attempt to be Ex Force....

What made the experience of listening to Absolution Gap the most enjoyable?
This episode picks up nicely after Redemption Ark. Sometimes hard to follow, but still good sci-fi. I really like John Lee as narrator, and generally like books that he does.

Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

I thought it was kind of slow... more of a drama than true science fiction in my opinion. The narrators voice was somewhat annoying when he was doing some of the character's voices.

Flinx is the only one with even the tiniest chance of stopping the evil colossus barreling in to destroy the Humanx Commonwealth (and everything else in the Milky Way). With time running out, Flinx is a man in search of a solution and in search of himself. His efforts take him to the land of his mortal enemies, the bloodthirsty AAnn, where chances are excellent that Flinx's discovery - and summary execution - will eliminate all his demons and doubts in one masterstroke.

So after 20 years of reading this series I was somewhat disapointed with the ending. Dont get me wrong, I liked the story but the ending seemed rushed, especially after so many titles leading up to the this one. I did like how the author utilized so much of the content from previous titles to finish. I think that someone who had not read most of the series wouldnt understand much of this one.
