Story
Everly Swan is busier than ever with her iced tea shop and café, and the town of Charm is bustling with excitement as they prepare for a big event: the annual outdoor play! Everyone's getting involved - even Matt the EMT plays a character in the show. But when a surfer rolls into town and tries to upstage Matt, and then turns up dead, things get dicey. Everly is convinced of his innocence, but Detective Grady - who's a little jealous of Matt and Everly's past dating history - isn't so sure.

I Love the Coziness of the Story
Reviewed: 02-17-24
I have bought all of the books in this series because I just think the whole setting, and the storylines are so cozy and a little spooky at times. I do find that Everly’s character has morphed into a little annoying. She has been injured or drugged in every single story yet gets offended when her detective boyfriend is upset with her, poking her nose in his investigations. I just find it a little cringe.

The reader is tough to listen to.

The story is interesting enough but some of the story gets lost in the breathy and at times, falsetto voice of the reader. You hear her breathing often as well. It’s distracting.
