She lost me when she said minimalism was not like moving to the woods and living without electricity because she couldn't imagine life without spas and massages. The rest of the book was moralism and lists.

helpful thoughts in a day of neglected reason
Reviewed: 08-06-20
those who listen to this or read this and hear only jarring political comments are those who need to take these thoughts under advisement. adams is not only exposing his own thought processes, but suggesting positive changes for all of us. listen and think!
for that reason alone, the audio version might not be best. there are many thoughts that beg underlining, highlighting, and pondering. but if all you can do is listen, then do it and do it again.

Story
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Logical and informative. Great book and good listen. The narrator has a pleasant voice. I thought the narration was a little slow so I listened at 1.5 speed. Very comfortable. Tried at 1.75, but felt I was missing things. Decided to buy book after listening, something I rarely do.
