Story
Ivy needs a miracle and a drink - not necessarily in that order. What she doesn't need is Ted Jacobs, a.k.a. Mr. Know-It-All. She's determined to save her struggling winery, but she can do it without the annoyingly handsome man's help, thank you very much. Ted wants to catch lightning in a bottle and create the world's greatest wine, but he's smart enough to know he can't do it alone. When he heads to Napa Valley to keep his grandma from ending up in jail (don't ask), he meets Ivy Dobbs, the world's most stubborn woman.

Story
Hockey coach Ashley Jaswal doesn't take nonsense from anyone … except her overbearing and superstitious family. They believe she's a good luck charm for her brother Jas, the newest Vancouver Canucks draft pick, forcing Ash to attend all his games as he rises up the NHL ranks, sacrificing her personal life (not that she has one—who decided hockey season needed to be 10 months long anyway?). Ash also clashes with Jas’s teammate, Canucks captain Devin Snyder.

This story was really good but I wish there was another chapter to truly have a great ending (it felt very rushed?) and I also wish there was an epilogue to see where the couple ends up.

Story
Anna Jones just wants to finish college and figure out her life. Falling for star quarterback Drew Baylor is certainly not on her to do list. Confident and charming, he lives in the limelight and is way too gorgeous for his own good. If only she could ignore his heated stares and stop thinking about doing hot and dirty things with him. Easy, right? Too bad he's committed to making her break every rule.

Story
Wren Ballard is trying to find herself. She never expected to be divorced at 27, but now that the court date has passed, it's official. The paperwork is final. Her feelings on it aren't. Spending the summer in a small mountain town outside Seattle is exactly what she needs. The peaceful scenery is a given, the cat with the croaky meow is a surprise, but the real kicker? A broody neighbor with nice arms, a strange reputation, and absolutely no interest in her.

This story was about a grown woman who don’t know how to use her own mind. She married a narcissist, submit to a narcissist and then leaves the narcissist all while depleting yourself but once your mom or ex husband speak to you, you start rethinking your own feelings? I was annoyed the entire book and was just waiting for it to get better. WAITING for her to heal her damn self and stop waiting on someone to come and tell her what to do like the narcissist did. Ugh! It was a 9hr book so there was more than enough time for character development, so why is it that we didn’t get much. To the very end she needed Anderson for strength 🙄 & she allowed Keith’s words to still affect her ten fold. The problem with her character is simple, if you seek your worth in the approval of others you need to understand that it’s a double edge sword. When it came to Anderson the growth was given in spades.
Momma Vaughn was a great character to add in because they made the mfc weak and I know this sounds insensitive but I hate when stories make a weak female because they literally keep them in that mindset and it’s so disheartening. Her solution was drinking and telling herself yet again that she isn’t in the wrong …. It’s like okay and now MOVE ON! But nope. Wishful thinking on my behalf.

This was a masterpiece if I ever read one! Let me start with I knew the father (Trent) was Psycho! Ain’t no way Knox’s mom got him Kermit and he would ever do anything to harm her. NO WAY he did what he did to the football player and don’t have empathy to some degree. But with that being said every-time I thought Knox was going to be nice … he wasn’t. I felt like a naïve little kid lol. The ending was beautiful. It ties the epilogue up in a PERFECT BOW! I absolutely let all the tears run.

Several months ago, I was the queen of English Prep. The boys stopped in their tracks at the sight of my too-short plaid skirt, and the girls cowered behind their locker doors, envious of me ruling the halls with the most desired boy by my side. But the thing about queens? They often fall to their own demise.

Honestly —even this story didn’t win me over for Madeline. I understand things like creating distance and not confiding in others but I don’t believe it excuses you bullying people. It doesn’t excuses her digging into Hayley’s personal life and telling the entire school about her trials and tribulations. It doesn’t excuse her lying and saying Cole Raped her. It doesn’t excuse the torment she caused other people. It doesn’t excuse literally anything evil and malicious that she did.
She is vindictive. She is a bully. She is manipulative. Period. And honestly giving me a change in her “personality” towards specifically and only Eric in the last few chapters doesn’t make me believe she’s an overall nice person. I love that she admitted to him she doesn’t want to be the worst version of herself but I think I would’ve enjoyed the epilogue more if we got more of that towards the entire friend group. Piper and Hayley are amazing, selfless, genuine people. I love that Eric was able to be there for her because she doesn’t deserve it (it being everything that happened to her), no one does but that’s the best I can say. Eric is a very protective and fierce lover.

Molly Alcott didn't expect to open her mailbox one summer morning and find an old letter stuffed between bills and a supermarket flyer. Penned in familiar handwriting, dated over 15 years ago, the letter was written to Molly after her first date with the man she'll never forget. Week after week, new letters appear. Each marks an event in the history of their epic love affair. Each heals a wound. Each holds the confession of the man who still owns Molly's heart. Molly wishes she could unread them all. Because the man who wrote these letters is not the one sending them.

I think too deep and realistically for books like this.
By chapter seven I was irked. I’m not understanding how a failing marriage results in her sleeping with another man but everyone act like he was the only one at fault? That’s nonsense. Yes he had wrongs but guess what so did she. Randal and anyone else who doesn’t know the pain she inflicted on him blames him and she protects herself then they look at her like why are you defending him? It was very much annoying! Add in her immature behavior and I strongly disliked her.
Additionally I think her reading letters that he wrote for himself after finding out he isn’t the one sending them, is in a weird way a violation. To then get upset when you proceed to read the bone truth letters as well is a you problem. He and Molly doesn’t fit. From her not knowing how to stand on his side up to his mother and her blaming him for loosing herself. I literally sped the book up and skipped through the chapters.
Molly blamed a lot of things but never blamed herself. That’s called a narcissist. She blamed him confiding in Bridgette on her own insecurities! Mind you she cheated on him and he NEVER cheated on her. She blamed the death of Jamie on the end of the marriage. She blamed the business venture. She blamed having kids. Jesus, what/who didn’t she blame? Once the kids found out she literally asked a man on a date.
He on the other hand apologized often. Every-time he realized another thing he thought lead to the demise of the marriage. By chapter 12 I could only listen to the chapters of Fin and by Chapter 16 I couldn’t finish.

Story
All my life I've said I will never date a hockey player. I know better because I've seen and lived it all. My father is a hockey god, my brother is the captain of the most successful NHL team in the world, and my brother-in-law also plays in the league. Their lives are complicated, so I went in the opposite direction. I fell in love with a scholar. But instead of proposing marriage, he broke up with me.

Loved this book I laughed out loud soooo many times. I also got emotional because this is really my most favorite continued series like EVER! I looooove Evan he gave me Cooper vibes! I missed the trope of “man who isn’t about to hide his relationship.” He was such a beautifully written Alpha male.
Now for my commentary lol 😂 I hate that they made her grieve the loss of the last relationship for four months because he didn’t even treat her well not even kind of well. A man that will walk in and shake off his wet umbrella on you is fine with disrespecting you and that alone was enough for me to question the relationship and be ready for the next guy lol.
Also the end of chapter 23 and all of chapter 24 annoyed me because going back to what I said, she grieved the ex for four months (which is 14-15 weeks longer than I think is acceptable 😅), messaged Evan off of liquid courage and then understandably fell for him. But you can not tell me you got crap faced drunk because you love Evan when you only got that way after you saw your ex. Girl bye. When your sister started to give you five shot you could’ve been like “I don’t care about Ed, I’m over him” but nothing was said. Then the audacity to say “Men are idiots” to Evan…. Actually no, he absolutely read the situation. I like that they made the conflict get resolve quickly but don’t try to act like he didn’t see what he clearly saw. Yes it’s a book but realistically I think anyone with brain cells would think it had to do with the ex.

Drafted first round pick when I was seventeen, playing first line at eighteen, branded NHL's bad boy at nineteen. At twenty-three I was cut from the team and living back home with my parents. A knock on the door brought an opportunity I couldn't turn down. All I had to do was prove I learned from my mistakes, so no way would I fall for a chick with a pouty mouth even if I wanted to spend all day devouring it.

Pretty sure I am exasperated by Becca. The plot of the book was good enough and I absolutely love Theo. But Becca, no matter how the story tries to spin it gave off Puck Bunny. She was okay with staying with Shawn no matter what rude thing he did or said. He never pretended to be anything other than an a**hole and she stayed. She tried to pass it off as being for her work Visa but it’s like girl you never tried to build a life for yourself or have a Plan B. Her entire plan was stay with Shawn until he hopefully married her.
Then when she got with Theo I was annoyed with the one hundred references of Shawn from what he did or didn’t do during intercourse to what he did or didn’t do romantically. The entire book is Theo reassuring the girl of her worth 🙄 but she brought nothing to the table. Except one scene where they make it that she got him his mojo back by brining him skating at a rink (it was cute but idk it was just one little scene) for the love of God I need authors to create more strong female leads. Of the two hundred (ish) books I’ve read / listened to this summer I have come across MAYBE 10 strong, independent + confident, emotionally mature female leads and it’s so infuriating.
