Story
Written with the intent of creating an entry-level report concerning the core principles of the Law of One and Confederation philosophy in general, this book takes the listener through a discussion of Law of One principles such as unity, free will, love, light, and polarity. It then works with the Confederation version of the concept that each person has an energy body with seven chakras. It discusses this concept and its implications for the seeker, chakra by chakra. It turns the player into a Player!

Good story with follow up in how they lived

I did like the story, but I didn’t like how I heard the lip smacking by the author. I did however finish the book despite this because I wanted to hear the whole book, so the content won out over the lip smacking.

Story
Lojong is the Tibetan Buddhist practice that involves working with short phrases (called "slogans") as a way of generating bodhichitta, the heart and mind of enlightened compassion. Though the practice is more than a millennium old, it has become popular in the West in only the last 20 years or so - and it has become very popular indeed because it's a practice that one can fit very well into an ordinary life, and because it works.

Great book with great teachings

There were so many insights to be taken from this book and I really liked how he emphasized falling out of practice and that being ok. He worded concepts well so that they were easy to understand and grasp for everyday life. I would suggest listening to it at 1.1x speed because his normal inflection is a little jolty.

Story
This adventure in science and imagination, which the Medical Tribune said might herald "a Copernican revolution for the life sciences", leads the listener through unexplored jungles and uncharted aspects of mind to the heart of knowledge. In a first-person narrative of scientific discovery that opens new perspectives on biology, anthropology, and the limits of rationalism, The Cosmic Serpent reveals how startlingly different the world around us appears when we open our minds to it.

I enjoyed listening to this book because it made me see and think about DNA in a very different way and how infinite our coding is in the human body and every living thing on this planet.

The Dark Night of the Soul

Story
Gerald G. May, MD, one of the great spiritual teachers and writers of our time, argues that the dark "shadow" side of the true spiritual life has been trivialized and neglected to our serious detriment. Superficial and naively upbeat spirituality does not heal and enrich the soul. Nor does the other tendency to relegate deep spiritual growth to only mystics and saints. Only the honest, sometimes difficult encounters with what Christian spirituality has called and described in helpful detail as "the dark night of the soul" can lead to true spiritual wholeness.

I didn’t know what to expect when I started the book, even when getting to finishing the first chapter I was hesitant on finishing because I wasn’t familiar with the two subjects he wrote about and how I could relate. I’m so very glad that I did because the author writes about the dark night in a way that is applicable to every situation and brings in a new concept that I hadn’t thought of. If you are feeling stuck or grasping at things because you know there is something more I’d highly suggest this book. My soul feels more at peace having just finished it and it helped me to give myself permission to let go and be.

Story
Since the dawn of time, people have been fascinated by those who claim to have extraordinary psychic abilities. The fascination has reached a fever pitch with the rise of modern media. It is safe to say that many of these folks are either extraordinary frauds or extraordinarily deluded. But could some of them be legitimate? Do some people actually possess psychic gifts that can be used to help and heal?

I loved hearing the author tell her story, she has an easy voice to listen to and I listened to it all in two days. There were so many insightful experiences and I enjoyed that she came from a journalistic perspective when she interviewed many mediums and intuitives. I would absolutely recommend because I gained a lot of perspective that I hadn’t had before.
