I am a third generation member of The Church of God in Christ. I was so excited when my mother told me that she once had the opportunity to see Bishop Mason. Since the early 80's I have been researching the roots of the early Black Pentecostal Movement. Starting with the life of William Seymour, Azusa Street Revival, and the history of the COGIC. I am so sorry to report that some of the racism against Black Christians back then are still happening today in 2024.

I truly loved listening to this audio book from the beginning to the end. I even found myself rewinding chapters to listen to it over again because the message was that powerful for that situation. The scriptures are on time Words of God and I was praying along with the characters and saying amen. It was wonderful having Ms. Clara back with her wisdom of telling it like it is and more importantly her prayers. The Author's gift of writing this book and narrating it leaves you in awe. This book deserves to be in libraries, men and women ministries, and family devotion times.

Every Christian should read and listen to this book on audio so that we won't take our religious freedom for granted. This didn't happen in a foreign country but the United States of America Christian nation. What Rifqa Bary had to endure is more than anyone should suffer but God helped her in being a martyr for Him and her testimony. Great will be her reward in Heaven for her faithfulness when the time comes.

I am having a hard time listening to this audio. The voice of the Narrator is so irritating and very nasal sounding. Did the Author really approve this recording? I wish that I had listened to the sample before purchasing this audio. There's more audios on this subject matter that I will listen to. The only reason I am not asking for a refund is because I don't want the Author to lose a sale.
