Story
The Wandering Inn has a princess who solves problems rather than creates them, and her name is Lyonette. Yet what happens when the innkeeper returns to manage her inn? Lyonette must learn to be a good employee rather than manage everything herself, and sharing power is never easy.... Nor is it ever simple in war, but that is where Geneva Scala remains. In bloodier and increasingly brutal battlefields, The Last Light of Baleros is now growing in fame, but there is no future there.

This entire series is amazing.

I love the realistic way this series is written. The pain and fear, the wonder and awe, the joy and fun. All the things you would feel if you had been transported to another world. This book in the series starts so strong with a period of riding along with the King of Destruction. I have not gotten past that point yet and already I can say this book is written with the same amazing style as the books before..
Pirateaba is an amazing author and I am so grateful to have found this series. If you are new to the series you should start at the beginning but I am sure this book is great on its own as well.

At long last, the reason for the blessed Adept race's decline has been discovered: powerful beings known as Malorin'athgul are disrupting the Balance and preventing Alorin's Adepts from awakening to their gifts. Who are they? Where are they? And how can they be stopped when they wield a power meant to unmake the universe itself? In T'khendar, Prince Ean val Lorian has forsaken his companions in blood and battle to join the traitorous Fifth Vestal in T'khendar in the hopes of gaining some insight into the tragedies that plagued his return.
