About this listen

Pirateaba returns once again, bringing you the thrilling fifth installment of chart-topping LitRPG series The Wandering Inn.

Kings awake, and emperors build new lands. Change is coming to the world, from the King of Destruction moving to a certain doctor finding more friends from home.

The Wandering Inn has a princess who solves problems rather than creates them, and her name is Lyonette. Yet what happens when the innkeeper returns to manage her inn? Lyonette must learn to be a good employee rather than manage everything herself, and sharing power is never easy...

Nor is it ever simple in war, but that is where Geneva Scala remains. In bloodier and increasingly brutal battlefields, The Last Light of Baleros is now growing in fame, but there is no future there. She is desperate, working against hostile forces who see her intervention as dangerous, and still bears the wounds of her previous war to save lives. But she is no longer alone.

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

Still in progress but wanted to give people who are on the fence something to go off of before the holidays (review not rating, it's not yet earned more than 2 stars). I'm about 10 hours in and let me tell you, I'm hoping Fortnight over here flosses his way off the mortal coil, that he gets be-Trey-ed, when I relistened to the first books I skipped his parts and will 100% never listen to these 10 hours again.

Floss never has felt like a very strong character to me and this section reaffirms it, as he confirmed he's useless when it comes to literally any part of ruling his nation. He straight up says he's shoving off the work on his subordinates without a thank you or a please, yet somehow he stops for 2 decades and all the work he was already not doing stops being done. Unless he did more then stop and instead threw a tantrum and gave orders designed to make a whole continent fail then things probably wouldn't have got so bad between the literal host of talented people he foists extra work upon.

There's little of the charm that made me love this series in the first fifth of the book. Aaron's not cleaning with literal acid or talking about Gnoll anatomy, Ryoka isn't cursing at beings of immense power, The Horny crew isn't going insane and stabbing one another. It's literally just a guy who punch real gud in a situation that the only situation where I can even slightly believe in is if it was explained his skill was actually a form of mind control parasite that got stronger with proximity to him, he didn't actually know that, and he also thought he was in a shonen anime.

Floss me off this mortal coil

It saddens me that one day there will be an end to this series. I love all of the characters and the way andrea parsneau brings them to life is magic into itself.

Love

I don’t agree with the others negatives. I found the broad story and the current characters to be great. Enjoyed every bit of this.

Great book

Great story and great storytelling! I am always immediately sucked in to the each book and And listen to it 24 seven until it’s done. At which point I am sad and looking to see when the next one is coming out. The characters are interesting, varied and complex. And the storyline itself has clearly been planned out in great detail… Things that happen early on have interesting ways of coming back later and impacting other characters.

Fantastic!

Andrea should never, ever stop performing these books. She is incredibly talented and I can’t wait for the next episode to be released! Thank you so much for an amazing listening experience.

Amazing as usual

So this is a continuation of the last books in spirit, if not in story...

With that said, if you love love the first few books because of the writing then you will love this too

...still over dramatic and a bit overwritten. Sometimes it works when filling out scenes to the fullest so it's completely lived in but sometimes it's too much.

Ms Griffin - legit one of the most flawed characters ive ever (sort-of) rooted for... but really, shes pretty terrible

Love the world! ...if not all its characters

Great book. I don’t have the same views as this Author in life. But this series is in my top three. meaning I only have Three favorite authors. I’m actually dyslexic and I listen to audiobooks actually every day. Which means I have 496 books in my library. And if you can get over yourself this is a F****** great series

Great book

Another amazing book, love the story telling. Each and every character has their own unique personality. The build for each character keeps you on your toes wanting to know what they will gain and find out.

Can’t wait for the next book. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
