the only thing I didn't like was it didn't explain what she was before she got turned from human and where her abilities came from. otherwise, the drama and spice and the journey they all took was incredible. definitely worth a credit.

the story flowed well. the narrators were all amazing and did their characters exceptionally well. lots of spice, but it doesn't detract from the story. somehow, they make it work. some m/m scenes, but not many and easy to skip over for those of you not into that sort of thing. I did not skip. lol. over-all, it was done fabulously.

I’m not sure what I was thinking that day. It was a normal Thursday, nothing new or exciting had occurred in the morning. I’d risen from bed, taken a shower and brushed my teeth. I’d then jumped on the 8:05 bus that ran a short distance between my house and the county library where I worked. The ride took its usual 15 minutes before it left me standing fresh-faced in front of a building of gothic construction that was my favorite place in the world. After straightening my knee-length skirt, I pushed open the door that led into the interior of the library.

Spoiler alert!
This story sucked me on from the very start. I hated the closed-minded personality of the female lead. In the same breath, she said she was against censorship and banning books yet stated erotica and books of that nature had no place in a public library. The male lead pulled me in from his darkness and fixation on the FML. The back and forth between them had me rooting for them both at various points, and I went on a twisted adventure right along with them.
The narration was amazing, and the voices fit the characters perfectly. When the narrators had to do voices of other characters, it was easy to tell the difference between the leads and the others, and it kept me on the journey this story told.
That being said..........
What in the actual hell is with that epilog!!!! 😳 Sarah needs to get her comeuppance. I'm sorry, but that witch is evil and I want to read a book where Lucas recognizes her corrupted soul for what it is and serves her with a slice of vengeance pie for all the people she has messed with.

I don't even know where to start. This series was just amazing. It had just the right amount of spice with an incredible storyline. I was hooked from book 1. The narrators both did an amazing job and even performed various accents extremely well. 5 stars all the way. Definitely recommend.

I liked it sort of, but that ending?? **spoilers**

the whole reason the FMC grew up isolated and without her mom was because her mother thought she would be killed if the angels knew about her. Then, at the end when they are trying to actively kill the FMC, her mom just steps in and is like "she's not a nephilim so no laws were broken" The angels were all like "why didn't you report it " and her mom was all like "I don't have to answer to you". So basically, the grim reaper is a childish girl who doesn't give af about her kid. All she would've had to do was tell the damned angels she had a kid, and she would have been able to raise her own child instead of abandoning her family. SMH. I mean, if that was not part of the story, I would've liked it more.

There are no words. This book was beautifully written and performed. I didn't just hear a story. I was transported into a world where trauma and brutality were real, but beauty and love could still be found for those who looked for it. The ending actually made me tear up. I was left sitting there dumbfounded, not knowing what to do next, because my whole heart was still in the book. It's definitely worth a credit.

Dorian Gray’s painting was never in the vault of the library. We currently have no idea where it is and the only person who can track it is probably being held hostage in a storage yard with all kinds of cursed objects. Balthazar’s dick is still cursed and there’s no easy way to remove it. I already made it worse once. I hope it doesn’t fall off this time. I was totally against marrying Reyson when he woke up and announced I would be his new wife, but my resolve on that is starting to weaken. I’m starting to care for the damned god.

Between those two occurrences was a FaceTime call, placed by a bouncing phone, to the number of a man I didn’t even truly look at, who had now seen more of my body than anyone had since my Tinder days, over a year ago. Three declined calls later, I limped out the door to get myself to the ER before starting my hectic day.

this story was awesome. I found myself laughing out loud quite often. the narration was amazing on both parts. they are both exceptional at Scottish accents and it's super easy to fall into the story. Will is by far my favorite narrator. He can do all manor of accents exceptionally well with such intensity that it melts your insides and turns you into a puddle. lol. Definitely worth the credit.
