Story
It's the end of Gaunt's Ghosts! No, really, the Tanith First has been disbanded, and Gaunt has been sent elsewhere. What will it take to draw them back together? How about a stonking big Chaos attack? The Tanith First are no more. Moved into another regiment under a charismatic new commander, the loyalties of the former Ghosts are put to the test when Colonel-Commissar Gaunt, long believed dead, returns. As the enemy overrun the Imperial forces, Gaunt must fight not only to be reunited with his Ghosts, but to stop all their lives being thrown away in an unwinnable war.

Solid entry in the series

Another great entry that ties in the prior and next book in the series. New enemies and old “friends” appear in a solid addition to the series.

Story
Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt spent a year fighting as part of the underground resistance on the enemy-held world of Gereon. When he left, he promised that he would bring the forces of the Imperium to liberate Gereon's citizens from their oppressors. Now he has returned, a crusade army at his back, but he finds a world devastated by war and a people irrevocably damaged by the taint of Chaos. Now Gaunt must fight to save Gereon not only from the enemy, but from the Imperium itself.

Another Outstanding Gaunt’s Ghosts Entry

Great performance - punchy story with new and old characters. The stakes are high and great tie in with previous books. Everything you could want in a Ghosts novel.

Story
Long have the City of the Damned's fallen towers remained undisturbed by the people of Ostermark, but now an ancient evil stirs in the depths, gathering its strength once more. Gotrek and Felix are swept up in the crusade of Baron Gratz von Kuber to cleanse the city, and as the ruins are torn from the passage of time itself, the Slayer's doom appears to be approaching more quickly than either of them would like.

Story was not great

To be honest I thought this was the worst entry so far in the Gotrek and Felix series. The story and bad guys were just mediocre compared to earlier entries. Strong voiceover as always but couldn’t save this from being by far the worst entry in the series.

Story
Gotrek and Felix: unsung heroes of the Empire, or nothing more than common thieves and murderers? The truth perhaps lies somewhere in between, and depends entirely upon whom you ask. Gotrek and Felix reluctantly travel to Marienburg to fulfil a last request from Felix's dying father. However, a chance meeting with their old acquaintance, Max Schreiber, sends them in a different direction entirely and right into the heart of danger. The Imperial wizard has been sent north to investigate some disturbing magical phenomena off the northern coast of the Empire.
