Story
Beautiful Caroline Crale was convicted of poisoning her husband, but just like the nursery rhyme, there were five other "little pigs" who could have done it: Philip Blake (the stockbroker), who went to market; Meredith Blake (the amateur herbalist), who stayed at home; Elsa Greer (the three-time divorcee), who had her roast beef; Cecilia Williams (the devoted governess), who had none; and Angela Warren (the disfigured sister), who cried all the way home.
Sixteen years later, Caroline's daughter is determined to prove her mother's innocence.

Christie always has well drawn, well thought out characters. She outdid herself here. And of course, incredible mystery.

Story
The tranquility of a luxury cruise along the Nile was shattered by the discovery that Linnet Ridgeway had been shot through the head. She was young, stylish, and beautiful. A girl who had everything...until she lost her life. Hercule Poirot recalled an earlier outburst by a fellow passenger: “I’d like to put my dear little pistol against her head and just press the trigger.” Yet under the searing heat of the Egyptian sun, nothing is ever quite what it seems.

Poirot smashes it out of the ballpark

I love the Poirot series. All the narrators have been superb, but Suchet is in a class of his own. The novel itself is well written with well developed characters and a tight plot. Agatha Christie remains the queen of mystery writers.

Story
The beautiful bronzed body of Arlena Stuart lay face down on the beach. But strangely, there was no sun and Arlena was not sunbathing - she had been strangled.
Ever since Arlena's arrival the air had been thick with sexual tension. Each of the guests had a motive to kill her, including Arlena's new husband. But Hercule Poirot suspects that this apparent "crime of passion" conceals something much more evil.

Years ago I tore through many of Christy’s books and watched her tv shows and movies,
I’m rereading and listening. This book is intricately plotted and surprising.
As for David Suchet as narrator, I can’t say enough good things. He’s by far my favorite Poirot actor and his narration is top caliber.

First, kudos to the narrator. He brought this to life and understanding. A satire, with deep meaning. There is a reason this is a classic. I want to hear/ read it again. But such a delight, such depth, an amazing book.

Story
Documentary filmmaker Alice Lindstedt has been obsessed with the vanishing residents of the old mining town, dubbed “The Lost Village,” since she was a little girl. In 1959, her grandmother’s entire family disappeared in this mysterious tragedy, and ever since, the unanswered questions surrounding the only two people who were left—a woman stoned to death in the town center and an abandoned newborn—have plagued her. She’s gathered a small crew of friends in the remote village to make a film about what really happened.
