I have to be honest, Marley is an extremely frustrating fmc. While it's true that she went through some horrible abuse at the hands of her ex, I still found her to be a frustrating coward. Also, the amount of times that something happened that she should have told Cole about, but didn't, was astounding. I honestly don't think I could stand to have someone like Marley in my real life.
Lastly, the author added in so much background information, that it made me roll my eyes every time. Do you really need to add in how Marley munched on her food happily that often?

I’m no one special, but Stefan’s determined to protect me.

I definitely like this narrator so much more than the previous book. The story was good. I definitely didn't see a couple of things coming. The pregnancy thing was kind of obvious. Overall, this was a good book.

Good Story, Not Vibing With Narrator

Charlotte was a character I both liked and disliked. I think the problem was the narrator. She gave Charlotte a weak and breathy voice that really got old to listen to. The character went through some pretty horrible trauma, and it's not her fault she couldn't fight back. I found her to be way too judgemental of Axl and the others when she found out what they are. This was not my favorite book.

This was a great choice just to listen to on my way to and from work. It's a shifter romance, so it has a couple cheesy scenes, but overall it was worth it. I liked that the FMC had a life away from her mate and then they came together later in life.

I hadn't realized this was a novella, but it was still really good. It's an instant love with an HEA. I definitely would be very interested if it were a little longer. I'd be interested in knowing what the Alien colony is like.

When she unexpectedly finds out from her mother that the two of them are undocumented, Jimmena's world crumbles around her. She's lived in New York most of her life, if she gets deported, she wouldn't have anywhere to go. Out of all the avenues to go about becoming legal, Jimmena decides that a green card marriage is the best and fastest way to do it. She goes on many unsuccessful dates, until she finds a guy willing to help her. The only problem is Jimmena is in love with another guy, and he has his own plans for the future.
This story a rollercoaster of sadness, heartbreak, comedy, friendship, and love. It's set in 2007, so it was a ride down nostalgia lane for me as a millennial.

A Cute Romance

This story is such a cute romance. Don't get me wrong, there are a couple triggers; there's death of a mother, and the FMC deals with body issues and eating disorder recovery. But overall, I highly recommend this book. At the age of 16, the FMC meets a young hockey player and develops a crush. They don't see each other after that one meeting though. Years later, while teaching dance class, she finds out that that young hockey player is now the father of one of her students. The problem is, he doesn't remember her.

I had a feeling I'd like Vanessa a lot, and I was right. She's very brave compared to all the other human women. Fejo is for sure my favorite alien man.
I really would like to see where Julie's story goes from here though.
