I truly enjoyed this story of Sam and Haley, how Sam was so loving and as they both grieved for his best friend and she her husband, how he kept his promise to take care of each of them. Hope who never got to meet her daddy and E#die who was only a toddler.

I really enjoyed Andy's story, especially when as a youth he thought it was ok to bully Ivy, but because he was agree that his own mother left when he was just 7 years old, caused alot of anger and resentment towards woman and how he over came it and that even Iby not only forgave him but emphasized with him.

Roman Costas was raised to be a leader. His father tried to drill the humanity out of him and his brother and although he wasn’t successful, Roman was left with a skewed vision of himself.

“Men like me don’t love.”

When Roman inadvertently puts Effie in the line of danger, he jumps in to rescue and keep her safe.

“He took. He ordered. He commanded, and he got what he wanted.”

Effie is strong, smart and beautiful. She doesn’t want to settle, she wants a real love and a full life and has to convince Roman that he can have it all too. I listened to most of this on audiobook and loved the narration!!

Oh So Swoony! This Could Be Us is very slow burn but you can definitely feel the heat!

Soledad thought she was living her best life until her world comes crashing down around her. She has to keep her head above water while providing for her three daughters.

“My dreams aren’t haunted by the past or all the cruel things he did to me. I dream about a bright future of my own making.”

Judah has his hands full with a new job and autistic teen sons. He isn’t looking for more, but can’t deny the immediate attraction when he first meets Soledad. He knows she is someone he needs to stay away from.

“All loves aren’t created equal. Some spring from the earth and wrap around and twine through our souls like vines. Some are plants that start with tiny seeds in your heart and blossom over time, nurtured by years and commitment.”

I adored this story! It is the second book in the Skyland series, but can be read as a stand-alone. A definite must read! I listened to about half of it on audiobook and the narration is wonderful!

The Jane Austen Collection on audio was like a play in my ears. I loved the experience. Where previously Northanger Abbey, while well liked, was my least favorite. With wonderful narration and all the nuances of the actors I found so much more humor and enjoyment in Catherine’s story and in all the stories in this collection.
