Story
"No killing Goblins." So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours. It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn't belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life, and where Humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life. Or die.

I prefer long books so im trying it. I don't really like female readers. The book seemed like it was for a younger audience but easy listen. Pretty sure I'll quickly return.
On 3rd book now damn you. Great series, great narrator who finally changed my opinion about female readers. If you like this genre (magic, dragons, undead, goblins) you'll like it.

I hate to say this because u love the aurthor and the series but I don't get the point of it. I even struggled giving it attention when doing mundane things like driving. Nothing really happened until the end and it just set up the next. A one paragraph fast forward could cover the novel. high hopes for the next but if you're torn over this one don't be....find something else.

I love this narrator normally. almost everything I've listened to from him I've enjoyed. I like this type of story. I just seriously couldn't get into this book. I tried, I rewound and retried. you might like it. some parts I followed. most was just something playing in the background. it just never grabbed me.

the readers almost killed this for me. the alt voices by the main Male reader can get a bit odd but okay. The girl voices, that was horrible. I usually like multi voices okay but hers were ridiculas. if you can take voices like someone is reading to a 3 yr old, go for it. I shouldnt have bought all these at once. she irks me that bad.

This whole series has been impressive. anyone who is an avid listener knows Nick delivers as a reader...always. They books themselves are all very good. Witty characters, plenty of action but keeps a story line going. Nick sounded like he even had fun with this one.
if you are like me and have so many books in your library that you buy more misses than hits these days, you just found a series worth getting. I normally go for books 20+ hours but these are totally worth it. Nice job both Robert and Nick.
side note: they mention in one of the books that Nick meets with the writer alot to get a feel for characters personalities and such. apparently this isn't common. I think it really shows in the delivery.
